In this advert, the protagonist is a dog and the product being promoted is also for dogs. However, the dog is presented wearing a suit, which is conventional of humans, not dogs. This advert aims to target audience who think of their pets as small humans rather than animals. The food is “human grade dog food”, this is also suggesting that human food is the best quality. 

Specific meaning?

I believe this advert aims to make humans empathise with their pets as there is emotional language being used. “Because if you were in their paws you’d want the same”. It is not introducing the product as good for the animal but as good enough for a human to consume it. This could be because pet owners might be concerned about what their animals are eating, and hearing “human quality” feels more familiar than hearing “dog friendly” or something similar.
