i would chose option b to help change my outlook. both candidates are equally qualified but option b would create a more fun and welcoming environment due to their past work experience.

something that i picked up from the video is that the scrapper most likely has more personal experience that makes them more tough and is able to start from the bottom and not make a fuss. a question i would ask is what if a scrapper gets lucky and has the opportunity to attend an ivy school. what then.

There are two different kinds of people. There are those who represent a silver spoon and those who represent a scrapper. A silver spoon person is someone who is well-rounded, responsible, punctual, experienced, intelligent, much like candidate A. A scrapper is someone who may have qualifications but does not have the highest experience/qualities that are known from the get-go. It would take more knowledge to pick a proper candidate. However, from the jump, I would choose option A.

I am picking Person B for a couple of reasons. Firstly, it seems equitable to give the underdog a chance, as Person As credentials probably get them more job opportunities. Secondly, Person B is probably hungrier and less complacent than Person A, who has achieved so much in life already, likely meaning B will be willing to work harder to prove themself.

New insight -- my opinion was supported by the Ted Talk, with companies that hire more "scrappers" outperforming companies that don't. Another point I liked was that scrappers have been through much tougher times and probably look at business problems as easy to overcome in comparison.

It was shared that 35% of entrepreneurs have dyslexia, and, along those lines, I wonder what other connections successful people may have to specific challenging circumstances.

Though they are both very good candidates person B stuck out to me the most because that's usually the type of person whom is being overlooked.
