These are difficult components of a child's behavior/emotions when they may have a troubled home life, so integrating these topics into the classroom could prove to be very useful.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The de-escalation technique that I particularly like for secondary students is reassuring them. Children at this age often become even more angry and agitated when they feel like the teacher is "taking sides" with the other individual or just wants to get them in trouble. Reassuring statements like "You're not in trouble. This is your chance to give me your side of the story" are very validating to this age group in particular.</div>]]></description>
