The LMT transports both dry and liquid bulk cargos such as coal, limestone, petroleum products, and raw materials. It is also close to the Lumut Port Industrial Park, a major heavy industrial complex specialising in oil and gas fabrication and shipbuilding.</li><li>The LBT, on the other hand, is solely responsible for transporting coal to the Sultan Azlan Shah Power Station. It takes approximately 1.5 hours to travel from Ipoh to Penang and approximately 2 hours to travel from Ipoh to Kuala Lumpur.</li><li>Another expressway, the West Coast Expressway (WCE), is currently being built and will open in 2019. It will connect Taiping in Perak to Banting in Selangor, greatly improving connectivity between the two states, especially towards Port Klang.</li></ol>]]></description>
