In my opinion I believe that Chevy could have prevented this issue from occurring if they all came together as a group and had a plan prior to communicating with the public. As many other classmates have stated, the “technology and stuff” slogan is not the best because it doesn’t show the quality and knowledge about the product. I believe both the slogan and the communication error from Chevy could’ve been prevented and in turn would’ve brought more success to the company.

I think that the ALS Association can continue to grow on social media even after the “Ice Bucket Challenge” in a variety of different ways. From personal experience I have a friend who lost a grandparent to ALS and he posts about it on social media and has created multiple fundraisers for ALS research. Therefore, I think that teaming up with private accounts and also collaborations with big corporations or famous people could help them grow. I’ve also seen people do birthday fundraisers where they do ALS fundraisers on Facebook which can also grow their presence on social media.

I think that Connie Culp probably felt very anxious but also incredibly relieved during the whole process considering she was finally going to be confident in herself again. Being the first person to get such an invasive surgery is both incredible but also scary, therefore I think it was both a good and a bad moment for Connie. For Connie’s sake I’m glad social media wasn’t as big back then as it is now because although it was widely spread on the news I think it would’ve been an even bigger story in today’s media world.

This case is very interesting to me, I remember hearing about it in the news at the time. It is a fascinating procedure and an amazing breakthrough in science. In response to question three, I believe the media would be just as involved in another face transplant case, since the procedure is so rare, and fairly new. There have only been a few successful face transplants worldwide, which makes the procedure interesting to cover, and a newsworthy topic.

Chevy should have proven more effective of averting this problem by ensuring that everything on the crew was clear and fluid before releasing public announcements. The organization lost the moral high ground and risked severely damaging their brand by making it look as though they didn't know exactly to give their customers. For this rationale, it's critical that the correct individual represents.

I absolutely agree with Morgan and Mike, since I believe the year this incident study took place had a significant impact on the surgery's media coverage. Consequentially , I'm sure Connie Culp didn't expect to be a story, and she certainly wasn't expecting all of the media coverage that occurred with it because the procedure was so new in the nation.
