In the year 1783, the New England area was free of slaves. By 1800 mostly all states on the Northern side were gradually abolishing slavery. but, some people didn't let up until the 1830s or even later, but when they did they just let them go this is a party because less and less places were having slavery. This change America because slavery was a big  part in many people's lives in America, and that caused people to change their lifestyles for the better.
