In 1950 they were only able to have 4 crew members and the process wasn't very effective. Innovation and more hands has made the process much more efficient.

In the modern pit stop not only were they working as a team, but they were prepared and knew their role. Everyone had a specific task and they did it well.

The IST team can either add more members are divide the members they have into more singular dedicated areas of work Like with the pit crew one person left tire one IST person taking notes etc

Growth takes time, little by little! This change took 75 years of refining and reflecting. Over time there will be significant changes to our habits and procedures if you make small changes now. These changes then produce faster results!

Additionally, I noticed the people! More people help make things more efficient like others have already noted. And each person had very specific jobs, allowing for more efficient work.

All team members know their role, what is within their control, and what others depend on them for. No one is standing around wondering what’s going on or how they can contribute. This is about a team functioning as a single unit. Support is critical.

The video shows that in order to have things run efficiently and effectively, each individual needs to do their part. The team needs to work together to complete the task and ensure that productivity enables the positivie outcome.

Our IST team can continue to move towards the modern pitstop by working together and playing to one another strengths. Without working together it makes the overall "mission" more complicated to complete and less effective.

Our IST can move towards the modern pit stop by better understanding each person's roles and responsibilities. There are so many of us for a reason, we each have different roles/backgrounds/area of expertise. We need to use each other and rely on what one and other bring to the table when planning. One thing that might help is more consistent team meetings, which seems to be already scheduled for this year!
