This upcoming Thursday, March 23rd, we have the pleasure of welcoming a guest speaker to HLTH AGE 714: Dr. Cassandra Phoenix from the University of Bath, UK. She will chat to us re: the topic of 'representing qualitative findings', and her forays into the world of Creative Analytic Practice (CAP).

There will be time dedicated to questions as they arise through discussion on Thursday. But if, as you delve into this week's readings, you are struck by any particular questions that you would like Dr. Phoenix to speak to - please feel free to post them here on 'padlet'. I will be sending her the link, and she'd be pleased to tailor her focus according to any interests expressed.

Thanks!

**A researcher has been rejected for ethics approval because her study involves youth between the ages of 13-18 and she refuses to request parental consent. The researcher has made it explicitly clear that due to the sensitive nature of the topic, seeking parental consent may cause harm to the participant. However, the review board is pushing for what the researcher argues is ‘outing-consent’, given the topic, LGBTQ. Should the researcher seek parental consent or should the ethics board review their decision?
