Most recently I did volunteer at the Albany Boys and Girls Club Intermediate School Dance and WOW was it an experience. The course HDFS 313 Adolescent Development required an in-service learning assignment and the intermediate dance was an option provided to us, so myself and 4 other females chose to be chaperones. We broke up a few fights, witnessed some interesting dance moves and made sure these young ones stayed at an appropriate distance from each other. I have worked in the food industry for about 4 1/2 years now and still currently do. The proper food handling, constant approach with new people and interaction skills could benefit me in an environment similar or any one that connects myself with others. Whether I'm working with children or elderly, I will take away a new perspective and appreciation.
