What does "chemical properties" refer to? Does it refer to the actual chemical structure of the biodegradable plastics or does it refer to how the chemical structure of the biodegradable plastics affect its physical properties?

3. What kind of biodegradable plastics are we supposed to focus on because there are many different types of biodegradable plastics. Are we supposed to focus on starch-based thermoplastic which was mentioned in the 2nd part of task 1?

4. For part 3 of task 1, what assumptions do we make on how the plastics will be handled and disposed of? e.g landfills, composting

5. What is the recommended distribution of words for the 3 parts in task 1?

6. For the cutlery that we need to recommend, can we create a plastic that works theoretically but is substantiated by research or must the plastic be one that already exists based on other research studies?

7. Are citations included in the word count for task 1?

8. In task 2, the docs talks about catering to Singapore's plastic context yet the rubrics talks about how we are required to be aware of world's views and relevant social and cultural issues. Can we clarify whether we need to consider the capability of other countries as well as Singapore?

Yuen Xuan, Nicole, Ivie, Dunman High School
