Macbeth kills the drunken guards in a show of rage and retribution Duncan's sons Malcolm and Donalbain flee fearing for their own lives but they are nevertheless blamed for the murder Macbeth becomes King of Scotland but is plagued by feelings of insecurity I think this is important because it shows how he became the King and where the plot of the story comes from

during this act Macbeth regretted killing the king and goes to the witches for help. he then decides to hide from all until eventually Malcolm decides to fight Macbeth leading to Macbeth's death. Malcolm later brings the head of Macbeth to the new king and all peace is restored.
I chose part of this story because it really shows and resembles how people can try to run from their problems instead of actually resolving them.

Macbeth and Banquo, two of King Duncan's generals, discover three witches. These witches prophecy that MacBeth will be promoted twice. Thane of Cawdor and King of Scotland. Banquo's descendants will be kings. However, Banquo isn't promised any kingdom himself. The witches then disappear. Soon afterward, MacBeth is named Thane Of Cawdor. This promotion supported the prophecy. The King then proposes to make a visit that night to Macbeth's castle. Lady Macbeth receives news about the prophecy and his new title. She vows to help him become king. I chose this as one of the most important events in the play because opening scenes set the mood for the entire play, and introduces several major topics.
