This piece of art connects to Troy because he likes to drink in some of the scenes Troy be always having a bottle of alcohol and he also likes to be hard on Cory talking about how he would never make money playing football that its a waste of time. Troy says in the scene that "I told that boy about that football stuff. The white man ain’t gonna let him get nowhere with that football."(

I would describe my character that he is ruthless because Troy tells Cory that football wont take him nowhere and that he also is dumb for quieting his job for football. In the play Troys says to Cory that "You a bigger fool than I thought … to let somebody take away your job so you can play some football."(Wilson 25)

Troy would describe himself as a baseball player that needs to go around the field in the scene where Troy talks about how he had a job with a family and he wasn't going to get that last strike. Other people see Troy as a bad influence because Troy don't let his son Cory play football and that he is a fool for quieting his job for some football but Cory tells Troy that he get good grades and that its his dream to play football.
