The team mindset would be to contribute ideas in a positive space. We want our team to feel comfortable sharing ideas with the group. We want to accomplish our work with the best positive attitude possible.

Active listening:
During our group meetings and/or chats through whatsapp, we want our group to thoroughly evaluate and listen to what others have to say. If we have comments on an idea, we speak at one at a time to ensure everyone is being heard. 

Our creative process:
  • Brainstorm as a group ways to complete the group project (e.g., divide up work, work together on each part)
  • Agree on one plan and stick to it
  • Doing the work- refer to the syllabus/ assignment guidelines to ensure project is being completed as outlined
  • Set up group member check-in points to ensure everyone is completing their parts
  • Evaluating work - each member should review the work before it is submitted

Team rituals:
For the team rituals, we would begin our group meetings by asking how everyone’s day was first. We would then ask if anyone has something interesting they wanted to share before getting into our creative mindset.

Group meetings: During group meetings, we expect everyone to contribute ideas equally to the project itself and meetings through blackboard collaborate. Group meetings will be held after class to check on progress work, and will take approx. 30 minutes to an hour.

Group communication: Whatsapp. The expectation of a reply from our team members would be within the end of the day.

Skipped meetings:
Group members should let us know when they can’t attend the meeting by messaging on the whatsapp group 5-10 minutes before. And catch up afterwards.

Work completion:
Work will be completed on a shared document while live meeting on blackboard. We’ll compile the work on padlet as well as having the shared google docs.

Group deadlines: 
Have your work done at least a day before the deadline so we have time to put the file project together. As well as having progress to show every week at the meeting.

Communication when late: When a group member is late for communication, we would ask that they message on whatsapp before the day we need to meet. If you are late for more than 3 meetings, a warning will be given.

Being on-time: Arrive a couple minutes before hand and prepare with an idea of what is supposed to happen during the meeting. This will be discussed through whatsapp before the meeting begins.

Expected behavior: The expected behaviour would be to have a sense of professionalism and have respect for other group members.

Participation: Everyone is expected to participate and give their opinion. Our meetings will be a safe space to share ideas.

Decision making: We will listen to all the opinions and make a decision as a group, if we cannot agree then the majority rules.

Group Goals: Deliver our best work, come up with a creative solution for the brief. Everyone shares ideas openly. Have good communication.

Charter contract:
Our team, The Advertising Ninjas, agree with the statements mentioned above. We will follow the requirements needed in a group setting to ensure quality work is being done. We agree to put our full effort in any type of work we do.
