SUNSET AT EAST RIVER PARK
To be honest, sunsets are spectacular at the shoreline in Williamsburg. You get to see a magnificent view from the water of Manhattan. I went in the summer, so I got to experience the outdoors flea market right by the park. I loved everything about this place. My Friends and I bought a huge sandwitch with some beer and then we sat and relaxed. Afterwards, I got to put my feet into the sand at the "beach". But the best part of the day was to just be there and watch the killer views of the sunset!

MAGIC CRETE

ELAFONISI BEACH
The whole trip to Crete was magical. I truly can´t even begin to describe how beautiful and, again, magic this island is. One of my favorite places was definitely Elafonisi beach. This is the second largest beach in western Crete and it looks like a tropical paradise beach. I took almost four hours driving to get there, half of them through really rough rocky paths, but believe me it was all worth it. The water at Elafonisi is so clear that you can see the bottom almost everywhere, and it is also warm and shallow. Yet the greatest thing is that it has pink sand!!! Which was soft as dust, and since it was very windy, my friends and I ended up covered in it.

LOMBARD CROOKED STREET
I did a road trip to San Francisco when I was 16 with some friends, we spent one day exploring the city. I was shocked pretty much the whole time. Everything about this city I loved. But I believe the most “iconic” moment was when we were driving around the Russian Hill neighbourhood and came across Lombard Street, one of America’s crookedest streets. I remember being amazed by this hilly Street created with sharp curves to switchback down the one-way hill past beautiful Victorian mansions. Lombard Street is alive with color, as the many beautiful flowers are in bloom. Quite a driving experience!

CAPILANO SUSPENSION BRIDGE PARK
I remember visiting this huge rainforest in Vancouver, just 10 minutes from downtown. It was fascinating how big the cedar trees were, everything was very green and humid. What I liked most was the suspension bridge and the totems that the First Natives have created and placed during the last 90 years in the forest. It is a perfect natural place to learn a little more about Canadian nature.

PIKE PLACE MARKET

The first time I went to Seattle, I visited the Pike Place Market. It is famous for its crowd-pleasing antics with fish mongers flinging the daily catch through the air to be caught and wrapped behind the counter; it’s really impressive and exciting. Yet. What I loved the most about this place is that the world’s first Starbucks coffee shop opened there in 1971 and can still be found with its original look and feel in the same location. In general, it really is foodie heaven.

In my trip to Italy, I went to the a hill town in theTuscany, in southwest of Florence, called San Gimignano. There I visited the central Piazza della Cisterna and came around an award-winning artisan gelato shop called Gelateria Dondoli. Turned out this ice cream shop is really known because of the multitude of flavors they have to offer and the creative flavor combinations they have. And it is one of the cheapest in all of Tuscany! I remember I loved it! The gelato was delicious.

Through the years, I been able to travel quite a bit around France. I've been to Cannes, Monaco, St Tropez, Nice, Paris... But there's just something special about Toulouse. The city is so sweet in the daylight; however, the views at night are amazing. The whole city has lights and they reflect in the water of the river. It's honestly very romantic. You can organize a little night tour and explore the whole city since it is so tiny. You'll fall in love with it.

MAMMOTH POOL RESERVOIR
I moved from Seattle to California with my host family. They went back to Fresno, their native city. The city is quite country-like. I liked that about it, it was like being in a country band movie or something similar! Every summer I stayed there, my host family, friends and I used to spend two weeks in Mammoth Pool Reservoir. This man-made lake on the San Joaquin River is in a high-elevation valley northeast of Fresno offers not only wonderful views, but also provides recreational activities for the whole family such as jumping off giant rocks into freezing water, swimming, fishing, boating, hiking, scenic driving, camping…
