My family would evacuate our home if the area was becoming an ocean because of a flood. Or if our house just ripped off of the ground caused from a tornado. If there were to be a tornado in our area we would evacuate. Honestly if there was a flood since my house is next to a lake we had to be careful because once in a while our basement would flood but usually water cant get into our basement.

Something that would cause me to evacuate my house would be something harmful to it, like a flood or a fire. You would also want to evacuate if there was a tornado, hurricane or tsunami. Something that would make my family evacuate, would most likely be a hurricane.

A flood would cause my family to have to leave our house.I think this because when a flood occurs it can come into your house and come through the windows if the flood gets really bad.I also think this because our house isn't flood proof like they say you want windows that are round because the pressure of the water will break the corners of the windows. I also think we would leave our house because you want to have all the outlets up higher so you also don't get electrocuted! Another reason why I picked a flood because they are common near us and earthquakes are not and other natural disasters a not common in our area.

One weather event that me & my family will evacuate is a tornado because if it is coming our way, we would go to a shelter immedity. Another event would be a flood because if the water rises high, it could posibley get it our house and flood our house.

In a fire, tsunami or flood you need to evacuate. You wouldn't evacuate for anything else because you are actually supposed to stay safe in the shelter of your home. Fire can burn your house down and kill, in a tsunami you need to get in a tall tree so the waves don't hit you, and for a flood it might fill up your house and drown you.

My family would most likely evacuate our home due to a flash flood due to rain, because we live at the bottom of a hill, so we would have to evacuate to higher ground. I know because water comes down the hill, even when it barley rains.

In terms of the area, most likely a hurricane. Neither tornadoes, volcanic eruptions, nor earthquakes are common in this area (Frederick MD), and we would never have a fire because we have rain often and there is simply no way that my mom would even let something on fire get out of hand. We live right next to the Atlantic Ocean, which is a very hurricane prone area (we have recently had a very strong hurricane, Sandy), because of the warm water, perfect atmospheric pressure, and sea blowing winds.We would have to travel out of the area in order to avoid flooding, strong winds, and stormy weather.

Severe damage such as a tornado, volcanic eruption, tsunami, blizzard or hurricane because if any of those happened then it would be dangerous. For example if a tornado happened then the wind might knock over your house, a volcanic eruption could cause lava to destroy things, a tsunami could knock things over with its giant wave, a blizzard could cause my family to be stuck inside my house and not have the ability to get more food, or a hurricane can cause flooding and cause things to fall over which all of these things are dangerous and would cause my family to evacuate.

There aren't any weather conditions that would cause my family to evacuate. Tsunamis, floods, hurricanes, and tornadoes are not the type of thing that forces you to leave, but to go deeper into your house. Even with a flash flood, my family lives on a tall hill so that would hardly effect us. Even if you would consider tsunamis as a weather condition, we don't live close enough to the shore to be effected by that, as well.
