The difference between the particles of a solid, liquid, and a gas are withe a solid the particles are so close together that its hard, also known as a solid. With a liquid they are still close but far enough apart that they can move around in the shape that the liquid is in. A gas is not close they are farly spread apart that they can move freely. By adding energy or heat the solid wiill chane to a liquid, then to a gas. By taking away energy or heat it will go from a gas, to a liquid, then back to a solid.
