Santiago Prada

Saturday, September 14th

This weekend in Rome has been nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we stepped into the city, I was overwhelmed by its timeless beauty. The ancient streets, the ruins scattered among modern buildings, and the constant hum of life made me feel like I was walking inside a living museum.

One of the most memorable experiences was visiting the Colosseum and the Roman Forum. Standing in those places, I couldn’t stop imagining the lives of the people who had once filled those spaces with energy, drama, and history. Later, in the Vatican Museums, I was deeply moved by the art and the sheer grandeur of the Sistine Chapel. Looking up at Michelangelo’s masterpiece gave me chills—I had seen it in books, but being there in person felt almost unreal.

Of course, no trip to Rome would be complete without tasting its food. Sharing plates of pasta, pizza, and the sweetest gelato with my friends felt like the perfect way to connect not only with the city’s culture but also with each other. I still remember the laughter at a small trattoria near Piazza Navona, where we felt like true locals, even if only for a night.

Reflecting on the weekend, I realize it was not only about discovering Rome’s treasures but also about creating memories with the people who matter most. The long walks, the photographs, and even the moments of exhaustion are all part of what made the trip unforgettable. Tonight, I feel grateful, nostalgic, and inspired—Rome has left an indelible mark on me.

Felipe Ferrer

Tuesday, October 17th 2025

Last weekend I went into a magical trip with my beloved friends, we went into museums, adventure parks and we tried the exquisite local food. The trip started on friday, we met at one of my friends house in order to eat something before getting on the plane. that day at night we went to the airport in order to catch the flight, but we arrived late because of the traffic and almost lost the plane, i truly felt anxious and scared about missing the plane, as it was a short trip, we would've missed everything; the hotels reservations, the paid activities, the reservations at restaurants... that made me feel mad and i know i could've been a little aggressive, specially with Isabel and that made her feel bad, but we spoked it and now we're good. At the end, we did get on the plane and travel with no worries. on saturday morning we went into a restaurant to eat breakfast before getting to the museum of the city. I felt relieved after eating, as I was really hungry. after that we got a bus in order to arrive to the museum, it was magical. there was an immersive art section, in which we could participate on some works of art, like that one with the water fall.

after that we went to a different restaurant on the center of the city to try local dishes, we ordered a lot of different flavors and we spend a nice time together.

next day we went into a adventure park, there were roller coasters like 100 meters tall and lots of things to do. I have to admit I was kinda scared but after I hopped on every roller coaster I started liking it and also loved to be there. in summary, I had to learn how to live together with my friends, to respect them and to control myself, I know I can get a little to emotional on multiple situation but I'm working on it. I also understood how much I love my friends, as the can treat and understand me every single time.

Gabriela Walteros

Friday 22nd November 2024

Dear diary

Finally we arrived at my favorite historical city, and this took my breath away. The streets are really beautiful, old and tiny, the apartments and the houses looked vintage, and that is amazing! My friends and I decided to walk and meet at the central place. In this place some talented musicians and dancers started to do their show, and that was incredible. I learned a lot about this culture and this place on this beautiful Earth. This makes me so excited and feeling butterflies in my stomach for the next coming days.

Saturday 23th November 2024

Dear diary

On this day we visited two museums. The first one has a focus on the history of the city, the independences, the origines, and more things related to this. This was my favorite museum, I loved to see the old maps and to get knowledge about this interesting place. However, the other museum is also really interesting, this is about a gallery of art. In this place I felt peaceful and really relaxing, because the paintings transmitted a lot of these feelings, well in my perspective of course my horse. At night we decided to have dinner, and we found a restaurant where their dessert was made from scratch, and was the best sweet I ever ate.

Isabela Franco

Friday, May 13

Dear Diary

This weekend in Anapoima awsome, I went with my friends, and honestly, it felt like we stepped into another world. The village was so charming, with little houses painted in bright colors and balconies overflowing with flowers. It was like walking into a postcard.

On Saturday morning, we went through the old streets and visited a small museum. I didn’t expect much, but it turned out to be fascinating. Seeing old photos and artifacts made me realize how much history a small place can hold. It was a real eye-opener, and I couldn’t help but think about how people lived back then.

But the best part, hands down, was the food. We tried everything from tamales to arepas with cheese, and I swear I was in foodie heaven. Sharing those meals with my friends felt so special. We were laughing, telling stories, and honestly, time just flew by. As they say, “good company makes the hours short,” and that couldn’t be more true.

On Sunday, we decided to go for a hike. The climb was tough, but when we reached the top, the view took my breath away. The valley was so green and peaceful, and for a moment, we all just sat quietly, soaking it in. It was the perfect “silence speaks louder than words” moment.

Looking back, this weekend wasn’t just about visiting a place , it was about making memories. Anapoima gave us peace, laughter, and a chance to grow closer. I’ll carry those moments in my heart for a long time.

Well see you soon! bye.

Isabella Alfonso

Saturday, September 14th

Today was the start of one of the best weekends I’ve had in a long time. Instead of spending the day training, my friends from the team and I planned something different, we decided to visit a museum in a nearby historical city. The weather was perfect, which made the trip even more exciting.

When we entered the museum, I immediately felt amazed. Walking through the different galleries, I was impressed by the artifacts and paintings. Each of us pointed out different details, and we laughed at how much we could connect history to our own little jokes. It felt special to learn and have fun at the same time.

Sunday, September 15th

We woke up still talking about everything we had seen the day before. This morning, we decided to end our short trip with some good food. We found a small restaurant near the old part of the city and ordered pasta. It tasted amazing—probably one of the best meals I’ve had lately. I think what made it so delicious was sharing it with my closest friends. Around the table, we told stories from our training sessions, teased each other, and laughed so much that my cheeks started to hurt.

As the afternoon came to an end, I realized how truly happy I was. The museum, the pasta, and above all, the company of my friends made this weekend unforgettable. Sometimes the simplest things create the strongest memories.

I’ll always treasure these two days because they reminded me how important it is to spend time with the people who make me smile.

Isabella Zuñiga

September 16, 2025

Dear diary,

Last weekend I had an amazing trip to Istanbul with my friends Isa Franco, Valu, Lori, and Anita. From the start, everything felt exciting and different. We visited the most famous mosques: Topkapi, the Blue Mosque, and Hagia Sophia. Each one was so impressive, and it felt like history was alive around us. Walking inside, I couldn’t stop looking at the details, and I felt very small compared to such big and beautiful places. Later, we went to Nevşehir and rode camels. At first, I was nervous because I had never done it before, but then it was so funny and I laughed a lot. It felt like a special moment that I will always remember.

The food was one of the best parts of the trip. Every morning, we had a huge Turkish breakfast with bread, cheese, olives, honey, and tea. Our hotel, the Kratus, was also very nice, and I really enjoyed my time there, everything felt simple but special, and I could see how much fun we all had together. Looking back, I think what made this trip unforgettable wasn’t just the places we visited, but the fact that I was with my friends. We laughed until our sides hurt, created memories that I will keep forever, and lived every moment as if it was unique.

Well, that's all, see you soon!

Isa z

Luis Ramirez

14/09/2025

Today was a pretty normal day, but it had its little moments that made it interesting. I got up at 6:30 AM when my alarm rang. My room was cold, and I stayed under the blanket for a few extra minutes before finally getting up. I had cereal and a banana for breakfast, then hurried to catch the bus to school.

School started at 7:30. My first class was Mathematics. We reviewed algebra and I solved two out of three problems correctly, which made me feel good fear that I would mess up before. After that, I had English, where we practiced writing diary entries, kind of like what I’m doing now. Writing helps me express what I’m feeling, especially when some thoughts are heavy or confusing.

At lunch I sat with my friends in the cafeteria. We talked about our plans for the weekend, about a movie someone wants to see, and our projects. I shared that I have to work on a science assignment that’s due Friday, and I need to research photosynthesis. It’s not my favorite topic, but I think I can make it interesting if I find some good examples.

In the afternoon, I had History and then Physical Education. History was easy today; the teacher told us stories about ancient civilizations, which I like. PE was fun, we played basketball. I’m not the best, but I enjoy running, jumping, and the team cheering. I felt a bit tired after PE.

When school ended, I walked home. The weather was nice sunny but not too hot. At home, I did my homework: first science, then English.

Dear Diary,

This weekend was one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. My friends and I decided to visit Cartagena, a historical city full of vibrant colors and stories whispered by its old walls. As soon as we arrived, the warm breeze and the sound of street musicians welcomed us.

On Saturday morning, we wandered through the cobbled streets, stopping at every corner to admire the colonial architecture. The city felt alive—every balcony overflowing with flowers, every plaza echoing with laughter. We visited the Naval Museum, and I was amazed by the relics and stories about battles that shaped the city’s identity. It made me realize how much history can live in a single place.

Lunch was another adventure: we tried arepas de huevo and fresh ceviche from a small local stand. The flavors were bold and comforting, as if the city itself was feeding us its spirit. That evening, we climbed the walls of the old fortress to watch the sunset. The sky turned golden, and for a moment, time seemed to stop. I felt this deep sense of gratitude—grateful for my friends’ laughter, for the beauty around me, and for the memories we were creating.

Now, sitting back home, I can still hear the distant drums of a street performance and smell the salty breeze. This trip wasn’t just sightseeing—it was a reminder of how sharing moments with people you love can make a place unforgettable. Cartagena isn’t just a city on the map for me anymore; it’s a part of my heart.

The places that they recomended us were the obelisco, la bombonera stadium and the monumental satidum, first we went to the obelisco because its the most famous monument in buenos aires, and in the continent. when we arrived we were shocked with the tallnes of the monument it was like a building of tall, after we took some pictures and went to take lunch, for lunch we choose a tipical argentinian food restaurant, we tried milanesa, empanada and other tipical food the one that i liked the most was the empanada, its like a fried thing with meat inside it was very good. After the lunch we went to Boca Juniors stadium and had a little tour were they showed us the story of the club and the stadium the most funny thing about this stadium is that is not finished and it is cut in half, then after seeing the stadium and taking some pictures we went to the other stadium the monumental wich is the local stadium of rivals river plate, at the satium we did the same thing than in the bombomera we took the tour and saw the stadium, fun fact monumental stadium its the official stadium of the Argentina nacional team.

It was late, so we went to the hotel to hit the sack and the next morning we flew back home. The thing that i liked the most about this trip was that we had a good time with my friends and we learned new things about the Argentinian culture and its people and that we are very diverse each from another wich is a good thing because we can have cultural richness.

Estevez response:

16/09/2027

Dear Diary, today was a very amazing day, with a plethora of surprising experiences. Firstly, I spent the weekend with my friends at an Airbnb that we reserve in a historical city, called Rome.

At the beggining we were very tired as we had lasted 11 hours in the flight from Bogota to Rome and we arrive at the next day in the morning, so I was feeling really burned out and decided to pass 3 hours resting.

After it, me and our friends agreed to visit the Roman Colosseum, where it was very surprising to see this building due to its historical context and the cultural symbol it has in Rome. Then, we had eaten in a very popular restaurant named Roscioli, extremely popular because of its tradicionally italian and roman food. It was pretty delicious and I enjoyed it a lot.

Afterwards, we opted to rest the next of the day and I im hitting the sack right now.

That was all for today and im expecting a busy day tomorrow.

17/09/2027

My expectations were wrong, today I woke up under the weather, so I chose to stay at the bed today. One of the people among our tour group was felling really sick, so I think I get infected from him.

Tomorrow I expect to feel better and know most of the touristical places in Rome.

Walking through the exhibitions, I was fascinated by the ancient artifacts and the stories they carried mostly about how did the colonizers came to this lands, and how there were recistance from the start of the colonization. My friends and I kept pointing out details to each other, sometimes joking, but also sharing real amazement. It was not only educational, but also inspiring, as I imagined the lives of the people who once used those objects and what can we do today as an acts of rebeldy.

Later, we explored the local market and tried coastal food that mostly contains fish on all of itts variants. The flavors were unforgettable: spicy, warm, and comforting. We laughed, shared dishes, and took photos that I know we will look back on with nostalgia.

What made this weekend truly memorable was not only the beauty of the city, but the bond I felt with my friends. In those moments, surrounded by history and culture, thanks to a guide that was telling us histories about the monuments, and the history that inspired me most is the Benkos Bioho, ho was a slave who fought for the freedom.

Now, as I write these words, I can still hear the sound of street musicians and smell the food from the market. while we were preparing thing to leave, some people started plaing salsa. This trip reminded me that memories are not just about places, it is also about the importance of the history that make us to be posible as we are today.

Maria Paula Rodriguez

Friday, September 6th
Dear diary

Today we finally arrived in Cartagena, the historical city I had been longing to visit with my friends. As soon as we got there, the atmosphere felt magical; the cobblestone streets, colonial balconies, and colorful walls made it look like a painting. After leaving our bags at the hostel, we walked around the walled city and admired its vibrant energy. Later in the evening, we had dinner at a small local restaurant. The seafood stew was delicious, and I felt as if I was tasting the very essence of the Caribbean coast. From the very first moment, I knew this weekend would be unforgettable.

Saturday, September 7th
Dear diary

The next day was even more exciting. First, we visited the Palace of the Inquisition, where the exhibits gave us a chilling but fascinating look at Cartagena’s history. Then, we explored the Gold Museum, where I was amazed by the indigenous artifacts. Moreover, wandering through the narrow alleys of Getsemaní, with its colorful street art, made me feel like I was inside a living gallery. Even when we got lost, it turned into an adventure full of laughter. At lunchtime, we tried arepas de huevo, a traditional dish that was both simple and delicious. Without a doubt, the day was a perfect mix of culture, fun, and discovery.

Sunday, September 8th
Dear dairy

Unfortunately, our last day arrived too soon. We decided to climb up to the San Felipe Castle, where we had a breathtaking view of the entire city and the sea. Standing there, I felt overwhelmed with gratitude, because those moments were more than just sightseeing. They were about friendship, learning, and joy. On our way back, I realized that these memories would stay with me forever. Writing them down now makes me feel both nostalgic and happy, as if I am carrying a piece of Cartagena in my heart. Byeee, see you soon diary

Lorianne

I have decided to begin this diary because I want a safe space to capture my thoughts, feelings, and the little things that make my life meaningful. Sometimes I feel that my mind is too full of ideas and emotions, and writing them down may help me understand myself better. This diary will not only be a record of my days, but also a reflection of the things I value and the places that inspire me.

One of the places I love the most is a quiet park near my home. Whenever I go there, I feel an immediate sense of peace, as if time slows down just for me. The tall trees create a natural roof, and the sound of the wind moving through the leaves makes me feel calm and safe. There is a small lake in the center of the park where ducks often swim lazily, and sometimes I sit on the edge of the water just to watch their movements. It may sound simple, but for me it is almost magical.

This park has become my personal retreat, a place where I can think, dream, or simply breathe without pressure. When I am there, I often imagine my future, create new ideas, or simply observe life passing around me. It is also the place where I find inspiration whenever I feel lost or stressed. Writing about it here feels important, because it represents the kind of peace I want to carry with me every day.

So, dear diary, this is the beginning of my journey with you. I hope these pages will become a safe home for my memories, thoughts, and reflections.
