Lots of discussion about school violence numbers to organize the study. I wonder if the researcher could now conduct a study on the why behind that.

The beginning of Ch 1 stated that deaths due to school violence was 15 times greater than tornadoes, earthquakes, and fires combined. Unless I am reading that wrong, there is no way that can be accurate. A quick google search showed fire deaths at ~4,000 per year, and <100 per year in schools in the U.S. I wonder if the author was misinterpreting the data, or if I was?

Is just 2 case studies enough data to really make a significant contribution to this topic? It seems like a lot of written pages and a lot of numerical data for the thoughts and ideals of just two people.

I think adding this made the paper more exciting but sound less academic. I noticed the trust is a common characteristic in multiple leadership styles. I noticed that stated that superintendents need to be great managers and welcomed leaders. This statement reflects into my research as well.

I wonder what decision that superintendent would make with distance learning and enforcing mask and social distancing. I wonder how the research would be conducted during a time of social distancing. Will the theoretical framework decide if you do a qual or quant dissertation? Meaning, there are common theoretical frameworks used for qual and quant dissertation. So could you make a common qual framework into a quant dissertation?

I wonder if in qualitative studies it is harder to keep researcher bias out of it because you are "interpreting" what they are saying and meaning. Keeping your own experiences out of it is extremely hard when you are so passionate about a topic and how do you balance that with having someone else reading the work? I noticed the summary of the literature review sums up education. There is no nice prescription for education. There are multiple personalities with huge egos that have different ideas about how to help students. The data collection of the qualitative study was performed by using observations, interviews, documents, and audio visual materials.

I wonder if someone can really become an expert in 10,000 hours? I thought it was interesting how student teachers only spend 4.8 percent of 10,000 hours during student teaching. How prepared are student and emergency certified teachers?
