Today was great experience of life style problems, and has taught us a lot about sustainability.

-We can have mufti days at schools where we have to where repurposed all of the clothes.

-Get our school clothes and recources from sustainable companies. e.g; no chance slavery. 

-Buy 100% recycled paper for printing.

-We should have recycling bins. And we should label them clearly, so that everyone knows where to recycle.

-We can educate people on what we can and can't recycle and teach them about the issues that face our planet.

We enjoyed today as we could learn a lot about how to sustain and how easy it is to do this. There are many ways to be sustainable. We also learnt engineers need to be sustainable when designing rural areas. We all loved making tote bags!

- During PC, everyone shows their lunch boxes and the teacher finds the person with the least waste, and at the end of the month, the most consistent person with the least waste wins a prize.

- Buy and use recycled paper for printing, assignments and general paper use.
-  A veggie patch, a roster for people to water and use. Veggies can be used for the canteen

 - When someone buys something from the uniform shop, use bags made of sustainable old school uniforms to carry what people buy.
 - Have three bins (together) in different places in the school that are for plastic, food, recycling, etc.
 - Use the lights less and have natural light (we don't need light when we use our laptops or project things on the whiteboard)
 - Use sustainable bags at the canteen instead of the current ones, at the canteen you also don't need the wrapping around the pizza melts.
 - Be stricter on littering/tossing
 - Use solar lighting
 - Get bubblers in the year 7 locker area! This will hydrate year seven and encourage them to drink more water and prevent plastic bottles from being needed.
 - Encourage people A LOT to join the sustainability club
 - Use online books more than physical textbooks to save paper but still use text books
- Instead of selling water at the canteen just have more bubblers and drinking stations around the school.

This would reduce plastic and paper waste. We could have more digitally accessible textbooks. As well as having more things done on word and google docs to stop paper wastage. The canteen could also stop selling single use things like bottles of water, cartons of flavoured milk, juice bottles could be reused, the ice blocks could be wrap free, the ice cream cups and frozen youghurt could be scooped out of bigger containers and put into reuseable ones.

    - Have the canteen offer refills of cold water (in jugs) instead of selling plastic bottles and have more refill stations around the school.
    - Only use lights on cloudy days and when they are needed.
