There are many examples in The Book Thief that show how humans are brutal. For example, the Nazis force the Jews to march through the streets of Munich. When one Jew almost dies, one Nazi “studied the kneeling man and Papa, and he looked at the crowd. After another moment’s thought, he took the whip from his belt and began. The Jew was whipped six times.”(393) This example shows how Nazis beat up Jews for no reason and how humans are brutal.

Gay brutality has been a very tough topic because of how much there was and still is.

There was a gay club in orlando which people came and shot almost everyone up killing 32 people. There are a lot of anti LGBTQ stands and parents who dislike their kids for coming out. There was a gay teenager who was beat and hanged to death on a farm for everyone to see. This is one of the turning points.

In the video it shows many different cases of police brutality. For example an 18 year old African American man named Michael Brown was shot and killed by a white police officer named Darrin Wilson. This act of brutality caused ten days of more brutality. The next 10 days after the murder of Michael there were riots and acts of violence in Ferguson, Missouri. 

In the book there are many examples of humans being brutal. For example, when the town of Munich is bombed, Many people died during this bombing,”In them space of a few minutes, all of them were gone”(pg 530). Many important characters died Including Liesel’s step parents Hans and Rosa Hubberman, and her best friend Rudy. Even though this was against the Germans, this shows that people are willing to destroy innocent people's lives Just for politics.
