Mohawk, Irish - Privilege's of being white but on reserves, I don't fit in because of being white.
White female: I have privilege because of this but as a female, I have to fight to get jobs above men.
Socio economic - above poverty - I have had access to things others don't.
Female - in medical field, there is a superiority complex of doctors that are male. male can make comments that made women feel inferior.
Visible Muslim and wear a hijab. My religion has formed my morals. Adjustment or adapting as a newcomer - there is isolation, underrepresented in media and other fields. It reinforces a limitation of the cultures.
Born in Canada, speak english and visible minority. No culture shock. Familiar with tokenism. Have come across that and it is not a great feeling.

For the past 4 years and before high school I have been working with children as a dance teacher, nanny/babysitter, tutor. All along the way, helping to raise and be an important big sister to 3. I value the important people around me including my partner, siblings, friends, so many dogs and family in general. In my free time I love to paint, bike, garden and dance (which I did for 11 years competitively in my childhood)!
