I enjoy traveling with my family. I have visited several states in my lifetime. I have seen many interesting sites. I enjoy watching baseball games. I am a fan of the New York Yankees. I love to dance. I have been dancing since the age of four. I love to cheer also. I have been cheering since I was 7 years old. The reason I tried out for cheerleading in second grade. This is because I come from a family that has never made it to the cheerleading team. So I wanted to be the first to make the cheerleading squad.

I graduated from Miami Senior High School in 2021. I am currently studying at Miami Dade College for my AA in Early Childhood Education. Other courses I am enrolled in are Biology, Spanish, College Algebra, Introduction to technology for Educators and Philosophy. This is my last semester before I graduate with my AA in Early Childhood Education. I am currently on the Miami Dade College Cheerleading team. I want to continue my education at Florida International University. When I obtain my bachelor's degree in education as a teacher. I would like to help make a difference in every child's life.

Success is not an accident. Successful people focus on their past experiences. People must think big. If someone thinks little, they get little results. If someone thinks big, they get big results. To succeed you must focus on the goal. You must set goals. One must overcome their fears. The most important part of a person's success is determination.

Stuff moves through a system that includes a linear system that has extraction, production, distribution consumption to disposal. This is a materials economy. This system interacts with society. This system is in crisis. We live in a finite planet. This system in the United States we have everything. People are working more and more. Poeple do not have time for themselves. People also have no family quality time. People are over spending. When the products we consume are used then they ended up being disposed of them. This documentary examines the economy of manufacturing. People are consumers. We are taught that we must consume for economic growth.

The world is obsessed with stuff. A system that is in crisis. Products can cause so many issues. This products contain toxins. Some products contain toxic chemicals. Some products have dangerous ingredients. Some of the ingredients can cause diseases. Large companies are using toxic chemicals to make their products. Have you not notice sometimes companies do not put ingredients on their products this can lead to many lawsuits. The industry is used to work this way. Cosmetics does nt always put all the ingredients on the label. The system needs to be changed. This documentary examines the persuasive use of toxic chemicals in our everyday products. Her aim is to convince people that the beauty industry is a disaster. It turns out an average citizen has a minefield of toxic chemicals. 

How does consumption relate to your role as a global citizen? A global citizen can see beyond their nose. They are aware of global trends. They see how globalization has impacted the world. Technology made it easier for everyone to communicate and move around. Technology enabled people to be global without leaving your home. Being a global citizen means understanding that solutions must still be in your place. A global citizen is someone who strives to learn and make conscious decisions. Global citizens should apply their knowledge to solve problems. If it is the only system that exists for consumers, it is difficult to avoid falling into the exploitation of production. Therefore, as a consumer, I must be proactive in making intelligent purchasing decisions that benefit not only me, but also the environment as a worker, animal, and group. I need to be more aware of the negative effects I have left, just by connecting to trends and momentum. Those who control everything cannot escape these harmful patterns. Nor can we, as consumers, do so. As we leave the economy as it is, we have the power to demand change that benefits everyone, not just businesses and governments.

What changes are you inspired to make after watching  The Story of Stuff videos? After watching the videos I realized that we must always read the labels. Reading the labels can help you make informed decisions. Labels can make consumers more educated. Labels can assist people to understand the content of the product. Ultimately reading labels can ensure that you know what you are buying. Another way is by doing research on the internet by searching up the company of the product. During the video we learned that companies do not always put all the ingredients on the labels. Another way that we can all do more than a sustainable and healthy recycling part together.

The topic I chose was Heavy Traffic in Miami. The reason I chose this is because last year it would not take me more than 25 minutes to get home from school nowadays I take a good 30 to an hour just to get to school and from school. One problem that I can see is heavy traffic is caused by the roads that aren’t done and they have been working on them for more than a few years by now. This impacts us because it when there is really heavy traffic we are late to the places we have to be at. If too many vehicles exceed the road capacity, greenhouse gases will be released into the atmosphere, causing pollution. Another way it affects us is the emissions in the cars releases 24 pounds of carbon dioxide. A solution to try and reduce traffic is according to the Miami Dade County website its states, “The Strategic Miami Area Rapid Transit (SMART) Plan intends to advance six of the PTP’s rapid transit corridors, along with a network system of Bus Express Rapid Transit (BERT) service, in order to implement mass transit projects in Miami-Dade County.” (Miami Dade County). This shows one of the main ways that Miami Dade County plans to try and make traffic get better.

• From family planning and midwifery to improving access to hospital care, several initiatives are reducing maternal and child mortality. The Motor Ambulance initiative helps women arrive at hospitals in emergencies by offering 165 tricycles designed to navigate difficult terrain. Ambulances are operated and maintained by the community. Another program to improve access to health care is a health voucher system that helps women  pay  hospital fees. Women buy  affordable delivery kits that provide hospital staff with everything they need, even with complications.

The Karnataka Internet Assisted Diagnosis of Retinopathy of Prematurity program has trained and accredited nonphysician imagers to screen premature newborns for retina disease, which has a small window of diagnosis for treatment to be effective. This “taskshifting” model allows trained imagers to replace specialists for the screening by going into the field and using a lowcost and indigenously developed camera to upload images to a telemedicine platform, where a retina specialist makes a diagnosis. They have screened 70,000 infants and several other countries have adopted KIDROP`s “taskshifting” model.

Reflection 

If better health care is provided many Innocent lives will be saved. The different initiatives being taken to save lives. It shows a different approaches to reducing deaths. The diagnosis been conducted will help deliver healthier babies. The specialist have screened many babies to provide an accurate diagnosis. Several countries have adopted this diagnostic strategy. They have developed effective ways to let people know this issue.Something else i notice that both articles had in common were they both were trying to find a way that pregnant women can deliver safely and get to the nearest hospital quickly.

I'll discuss how Florida's Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Six devised a plan to build premium transit in this essay. The project's goals are to improve mobility by providing alternative transportation options, increase connectivity to the regional transit system and access to major destinations, reduce negative impacts on the community and businesses, encourage pedestrian and bicycle travel to reduce the growing number of automobile trips, support sustainable development by providing social/economic opportunities that improve community quality of life, and improve regional connectivity. This would be accomplished by providing more frequent and speedier travel inside a fixed or exclusive guideway.

The overabundance of cars clogging roads and suburban avenues is the source of traffic. Investing in the power of public transportation would be a wise decision that should be fully utilized. A fully loaded bus can remove 60 automobiles from the road, whereas a fully loaded rail wagon can remove 200 cars. The regular and frequent use of public transit would be extremely good to the environment, lowering gas emissions and reducing automobile congestion on the roads.

My third article i will use to show how public transportation has improved in past years.Using the half-penny sales surtax authorized by Miami-Dade voters in 2002 as part of the People's Transportation Plan, major improvements to our transportation system and roads have been accomplished during the last 17 years. In addition, municipalities have received 20% of surtax proceeds to help fund transportation projects. Since 2002, more than $700 million has been awarded to communities for highway and transit improvements, including neighborhood circulators like the popular Coral Gables Trolley, which connects to Metrorail at the Douglas Road station.

"Talking about climate change is the most important thing you can do to combat it." People's perspectives of climate change and how it impacts them are discussed in Hayhoe's TED talk. Gives you a better understanding of what you're talking about. According to Hayhoe's presentation, the political spectrum is a primary predictor of increasing people's perceptions of climate change, human role, and change impact (2:11-6:02). People must stop using fossil fuels and acknowledge that global warming is an issue that must be handled regardless of our beliefs or identity in order to eradicate global warming. It's noteworthy to note that the vast majority of people, particularly in the United States and Canada, believe climate change has no impact on them. Even if they lack the technical understanding to read about climate change, people need to start talking about it. Climate change decreases the availability of essential resources like water, as well as poverty, illness, and political instability, all of which contribute to refugee issues. Those who contribute the least to global warming, however, suffer the most.

The Thunberg Climate Change Immediate Acting Disarmament Case highlights the world's efforts to resolve the situation and what has to be done to make them meaningful. It's an informative TED talk. Global warming is an anthropogenic event, according to Toonberg's dissertation (01:11-5:11). Climate change is entirely the fault of humans as a species.One of the causes that contributes to environmental degradation is the burning of fossil fuels. People must adjust their approach to reduction in order to stop emissions. To withstand the predicted two degrees of global warming, developed countries must be in the forefront of carbon reductions. Despite the potential consequences of climate change to humanity, the general public and policymakers have mostly ignored measures to cut emissions. In order for emerging countries to stay up with developed countries' progress, countries like Sweden must reduce emissions within six to twelve years.

Global warming is a disaster brought on by emissions, and the planet will continue to warm unless we take steps to reduce emissions. Global warming has far-reaching implications that will harm future generations unless people grasp the need to use clean energy and promote energy production that is sustainable. Water shortage, poverty, disease, and an escalation of political instability, all of which contribute to refugee issues, are also symptoms of climate change. All of these challenges pose a threat to humanity's survival, yet governments are reluctant to respond, and politicians tend to downplay the sustainability dilemma. People in affluent countries do not believe that global warming would harm them, because the brunt of the effects are felt mostly in underdeveloped countries. India, despite being a developing country, does not rely on fossil fuels to propel its growth. As humans, we must recognize that global warming has both direct and indirect effects on us. Even though we are not climate scientists, we are accountable for raising awareness about the issue in order to address the global warming disaster. We must realize that climate change is unconcerned with our political beliefs or ideals. Recognizing the problems caused by global warming and the ongoing need to address climate change would enable us to work together to break the cycle of climate denial.
