Canto-pop reached its Golden age at the time when technology and modern industry develops. More and more resources and new culture are being brought and sent in and from Hong Kong to all over the world. More and more talented singers, producers and record companies works together to produce good music works in harmony in the 1980s. In the 1990s are the era of the Four Heavenly Kings; since young, I know and everyone knows the Four Heavenly Kings. They are 張學友(Jacky Cheung), 劉德華(Andy Lau), 黎明(Leon Lai)(and his Chinese name actually means "dawn"), 郭富城(Aaron Kwok). They have some really famous songs that I will put at the back of this "brief" history introducing. There are also some famous and my personal favourite singers and songs, bands that I will talk about along with their song videos. The Canto-pop in these few years are not as popular as before, but there are still a lot of magnificent songs produced.

P.S. This song is REALLY popular, heart-warming and it is still a classic to sing to your mother on Mother's day in HK. We sing it every year in church on the Mother's day, with everyone's eyes raining. And I chose the video version with the mv of the song, which is not really recent(2012), but still moving to see and listen to.

P.S. This is the first time I hear and translate this song... and it is honestly so beautiful. I feel that my translation and the translation examples I learnt from couldn't bring out the beauty in it.
P.P.S I just realise that this is not a Canto-pop... But I will put it hear anyways as I worked so hard on it, and the reason it is not a Canto-pop is because it is not sang in Cantonese, but in Mandarine (the language people speak in Mainland China)

P.S. This is a great song too, if you can notice, a slight change of Chinese words changed the whole meaning and feeling of the lyrics! This is not the first day, nor the last day I am amazed by Chinese. And this is my first time listening to this song too!

P.S. This song was originally wrote and sang by Lowell Lo and this video version I chose is re-sang by KaYee Tam. Like a lot other Canto-pop, it is being played as a theme song of TV shows, and it is one of my favourite. It might be confusing to understand, but the last few lines might just express the whole meaning of the song.

P.S. This is a great song that its lyrics uses many "casual" or informal Cantonese that makes a lot of people feel relaxed and familiar with; this song is kind of between touching and humorous, making you happy, moved and sarcastic at the same time... It is popular and a lot of people's favourite.
