Although often considered a deadly sin, it also plays a significant role in human development. Pride helped early humans seek their interests and approval from others, which was crucial for survival. It influenced people's behavior, benefiting both them and their communities. Pride also enabled people to anticipate the positive outcomes of social interaction. However, pride sometimes leads to negative consequences, such as when individuals overestimate their worth or power. Despite these risks, pride is acknowledged as a basic element of human behavior, contributing to individuals' self-esteem and status.
