i live beside the pacific where hurricanes are born, i am used to rainfall and thunder because i myself am a body in ruins and my hands have held a million angry raindrops that managed to slip away.

but i remembered that it took about a hundred and eighty three sunsets to get over the girl i once loved, i am yet to find out how the earth’s rotation made me unlove a pair of striking brown eyes and hands that write small letters and lips that whisper poetry under her breath.

and isn’t it sad how humans tend to leave permanent stains on another’s skin, isn’t it sad that we are not able to forget, that there will always be something vacant that settles between our bones and maybe that’s the reason why our ribcage is separated by space. isn’t it sad how we used to cover our eyes with the palm of our hands while holding a dagger in the other and you said that this was love but it tasted like regret.
