Having been a justice for over 28 years, court justice Clarence went through his first stressful situation in that of the supreme court in trying to become part of it, when he was accused of sexual assault. This delayed him being sworn into that of the justice position for months, but to this day his innocence holds true as he got through the trials to make himself a justice and has not had a single person since accuse him of such thing.

Clarence Thomas, a succesful, and well educated man, who was religious having grown up catholic, and is currently christian, went through many things growing up. Born on June 23, 1948, he grew up in that of PinPoint, Georgia, the justice went through the worst from that of his father leaving his life early on, to his family being divided throughout his life altogether, Clarence pushed through these setbacks to attend the college of the holy cross, and then have the honor of getting his law degree from that of Yale, a world renound school. He would later become a secretary for the department of educations civil rights. Also becoming a chariman for equal opportunity commission in the U.S., Clarence would then go on to become a judge for D.C.s court of appeals, which he would become fond of the position leading him to become a justice of the supreme court, a position he still resides in today at 71 years old.

Having grown up in the era where the of republicans were more prevalent, Clarence grew up with that of the catholic religion and changed religions once he married his wife who transferred him over to a more christian point of religious lifestyle which is interesting. He leans more to the republican side, having been raised in a family who was leaning towards that side. He was also appointed by president Bush who belonged to the republican party as well. He is regarded as one of the most conservative members of the justices, and is a known upholder of natural law, which is regarded as rather conservative due to it focusing on doing what is considered correct, or morally right. An example of this is shown in the following quote,"the ultimate precedent is the Constitution.” In this he states his view on upholding that of the old ways, in a day in which our country is consistently changing.
