Si bien, se dio el aval a esta ley debido a su coherencia con los derechos fundamentales que promueve el capítulo 1 de la constitución política, es necesario aclarar que es una ley que se ha necesito implementar desde hace mucho tiempo.

Mi postura frente a este noticia de la revista semana no es una crítica a la ley, es más una crítica al panorama social que vivimos en Colombia, dónde reina la hipocresía cuando hablamos del respeto a la vida. Los artículos propuestos en el título 1 de la constitución son los más violentados en nuestro contexto de guerra, violencia y masacres, y a los adultos mayores se les tiene relegados a un segundo plano, dónde incluso se les trata con resentimiento o desprecio.

Este comentario sale desde mi experiencia más cercana con mis abuelos, seres que han tenido su servicio con el país y como ciudadanos. Mis abuelos han presentado muchos inconvenientes para poder acceder en ocasiones a su respectivo servicio de salud, a un banco, a tener en ocasiones acceso a derechos básicos que deberían gozar como ciudadanos, pero que la ley y las personas en ocasiones pasan por alto; o lo peor, simplemente ignoran.

Mi invitación, más allá de hacer una crítica social a nuestra moral conflictiva, es a que veamos más allá de lo que es inmediato para nosotros. Es necesario que reconozcamos los derechos de todos los ciudadanos colombianos por igual, no podemos ir por la vida cumpliendo las leyes que nos convengan sin cumplir los deberes que vienen con nuestros derechos.
