I find this quote fantastic, because it puts us in the shoes of a black man in the years 1930. We can see that they(Crooks) were very isolated, meaning that they could only do stuff by themslef and they were very lonely, because they wanted to have conversations but no one would listen, so there was no point.

This quote is a huge reference to loneliness. We can see that Curley's wife is very lonely, because all she gets to do is follow Culey's foot steps. In other words, she is stuck in Curley's shadow, so no one want's to talk to her. She expresses her feelings of always being stuck inside and never being able to talk to anyone.

We can see that most guys don't have much to look forward too. In other words, this quote provides us with the information that it's hard to look forward to something when all you do is try to make money which you lose very soon after.

Candy, Lennie and Geaorge have it allfigured out, they will get a house soon with their own land. It's like there dreams are coming true and there plans are now all adding up and working.

We can see that Curley's wife also had dreams when she was little. She wanted to be an actress, but her dreams were shattered quickly after the thought of it. That is why she married Curley.

This quote shows us that violence is present right from the start. In this context, Candy and some guy are talking about killing teh dog from the back so he can't see it coming.

Lenny is hurting Curley's wife. This shows violence do to the fact that Lennie is hurting Curley's wife and will even take her life after a while.

Curley and Slim are having a conflict, because Curley thinks that his wife is with Slim. He gets angry and decides to cause drama for no reason.
