- I entered IIUM as a second-intake and I am glad that my dream comes true because I really wanted to further in studies at IIUM.

There is 4 elements asked by Angel Jibreel ( Malaikat Jibrail ) to Prophet Muhammad SAW which is ;

1. Islam

Jibreel asked the Prophet Muhammad SAW about what Islam is. Prophet Muhammad SAW responded by outlining the FIVE PILLARS OF ISLAM:

. Shahada

The declaration of faith professing by all Muslims that there is no GOD beside Allah SWT and Muhammad is his Messenger.

. Salah ( Solat )

5 daily prayers are performed by all Muslims.

. Zakat

Giving alms or charity for the poor and needy fellow Muslims.

. Fasting in Ramadhan month

All Muslims are required to fast for a month

This can help in our health too.

. Performing Hajj

Obligatory to those who are capable of financial and health situation.

Mostly, all Muslims will perform Hajj during Eid-adha month.

2. Iman ( Faith )

Jibreel then asked about Iman. Then,The Prophet Muhammad SAW described the six pillars of faith.

. Belief in Allah

. Belief in Angels

. Belief in Prophets

. Belief in Kitab Al-Quran

. Belief in The Day Of Judgement

. Belief in Qada' and Qadar

3. Ihsaan

. Refers to concept of worshipping Allah SWT with a sense of excellence and consciousness.

The Prophet Muhammad SAW explained that it means to worship Allah SWT as though we can see Him, even though we could not see Him, you should know that He always sees us.

4. The Hour ( Day Of Judgement )

. Jibreel also inquired about the signs of The Hour to Prophet (SAW)

Prophet Muhammad SAW explained that only The most gracious, Allah SWT, knows when The Hour.

Prophet Muhammad SAW also explained the signs of The Hour:

• "The slave-girl will give birth to his mistress (Zina), and you can see that barefooted, naked and destitute shepherds competing in constructing lofty buildings," means that in this era of technology, everyone is fighting with each other to build gigantic buildings.

THE FIVE PILLARS :

1. To strengthen bond between us and Allah SWT

2. To strengthen bond between us and others

3. To refining souls and keeping away from major sin

4. To make us the real servants of Allah SWT

ANGEL JIBREEL( MALAIKAT JIBRAEL )

• MENTIONED THE FAITH OF ISLAM, IHSAAN. AND MENTIONED THE SIGNS OF THE HOUR AND ITS INDICATIONS.

• JIBREEL AS TEACHING FOR RELIGION

  
  

HADITH JIBREEL AND ADAB OF SEEKING KNOWLEDGE :

- A teacher should be treated in a polite manner, as Jibril ( peace be upon him) sat down before the Prophet SAW in a polite way to learn from him.

- Jibreel as the questioner gained the ilmu to teaches others, not for him.

ADAB :

1. Refer to the knowledgeable person or scholars

2. Do not be afraid or shy to ask questions

3. Too afraid to say " I do not know "

ٱلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ

Firstly, we learned about the belief in Allah SWT. The division of the surah into 3 parts occurs.

. 1st part (Ayah 1-4)

Describes the nature of Allah SWT

. 2nd part ( Ayah 5-6 )

Explains about the relationship with Allah SWT

We worship Allah SWT as our Lord and ask Allah for help.

• Muslims believe in the oneness of Allah, who is eternal, omnipotent. There is no Lord worthy to worship besides Allah SWT

Besides, we learned about the belief in Angels.

• Angels are spiritual created by Allah SWT. They have to obey Allah SWT and they are the most obedient creatures of Allah. Angels play various roles such as delivering revelation to prophets (e.g Angel Jibril) and record the good and bad deeds that humans had done in every second (Angels Raqib and Atid)

Next, we have learned about Belief in Divine Books

• Muslims believe that Allah communicated with humanity through divine books, which are considered revelations. These scriptures include Tawrat, Zabur, Injil, and the Quran, regarded as the final and complete revelation.

  These scriptures provided guidance for humanity, Spiritual Enlightenment, and Understanding Divine Wisdom.

1. Belief in Prophets

Muslims believe that all prophets sent by Allah SWT to guide mankind to the right path. These include Prophet Muhammad SAW who was the last Messenger of Allah SWT to spread the message of Islam.

2. Belief in the Day of Judgement

Muslims believe that on the Day of Judgement, humans will be judged for their actions in this life. Those who followed God's guidance will be rewarded with Paradise, and those who rejected God's guidance will be punished in Hell. Muslims believe that on a day decided by Allah, and known only to Allah, life on Earth will come to an end and Allah will destroy everything.

3. Belief in Qada' and Qadar

This is the belief of fate and destiny. Although these two words are used interchangeably, depending on the context, they do have their individual definitions. Qada/Qadha refers to Decree.

Whereas, Qadr/Qadar refers to destiny.Qada/Qadha refers to Decree. Whereas, Qadr/Qadar refers to destiny. The reason why they are used interchangably is because destiny (Qadr) is based upon Allah’s decrees (Qada’). What this basically sums down to is that Allah (s.w.t) is the All-Powerful and the All-Knowing and nothing in this world happens except by the will of Allah (s.w.t). But this is not to be confused with a loss of free will. Yes, everything is destined and determined by Allah (s.w.t) but Allah (s.w.t) gives us free will. He allows us to make our own decisions and our own choices. And all the choices that we make are within Allah (s.w.t)’s knowledge as well.

According to the Quran, there are 3 characteristics of al-Muhsin (a person who possesses the quality of Ihsan):

1. Doing good to others.

2. Doing good to others at the best level possible.

3. Performing actions 1 & 2 for the sake of Allah SWT.

We must correct our intentions to become someone who is a muhsin. We can emulate the qualities of a Muhsin from the Prophets, such as Prophet Noah (a.s.), Prophet Ibrahim (a.s.), and Prophet Yusuf (a.s.).

WHAT CAN WE LEARN FROM THEM?

PROPHET NUH

First characteristic of a Muhsin:

- Prophet Nuh preached for 500 years to call his people back to the right path. However, only 70-80 of his people followed the teachings of Islam.

Second characteristic of a Muhsin:

- Allah SWT commanded Prophet Nuh to build an ark on a hill for 40 years.

- The purpose of Prophet Nuh building the ark was based on Allah SWT's command, which stated that a great flood would come upon them.

Third characteristic of a Muhsin:

- Even though it was difficult for Prophet Nuh to carry out his preaching, he still obeyed Allah’s command to build the ark.

PROPHET IBRAHIM

The first characteristic of a Muhsin:

- Prophet Ibrahim was born into a family of idol makers. But he hates all those idols, and he even tries to destroy them. and adhere firmly to the teachings of Islam.

The second characteristic of a Muhsin:

- Prophet Ibrahim secretly destroyed all the idols and denied the accusations that he did destroyed them. He deliberately does that to give a lesson to them. After he destroys all the idols, He puts the axe at the biggest idols there, saying that it does all this, not Him. It was for them to realise that the idols themselves are not God.

Third characteristics of a Muhsin:

-Even so, Prophet Ibrahim tried to not follow his family's generation to make idols. He firmly stands with Islam even though it is sad watching his family stay on the wrong path. He tried to brings the right path to them and obey Allah's instructions to carry out His duties as a Prophet.

PROPHET YUSUF

First characteristic of a Muhsin:

- Prophet Yusuf made efforts to resist the temptations of Zulaikha.

Second characteristic of a Muhsin:

- Prophet Yusuf resisted the temptations of Zulaikha, who came into his house and attempted to seduce him, but Prophet Yusuf remained unaffected.

Third characteristic of a Muhsin:

- Prophet Yusuf tried to resist Zulaikha's temptation for her own good.

As conclusion, we have to correct our intention so that we can be a good Muhsin AND try to help others as much as we can to bring them to the right path.

So, for this week, we have learned about Adab with Parents, Neighbors and Friends. For today's Usrah, we did a roleplay with the members.

Firstly, Adab with Parents

• We should not behave rudely with our parents. From the roleplay itself, I have learned that we have to keep trying to be a better daughter for our parents. They didn't have any expectations from their kids. However, they desired respect and a righteous child.

  
  

  Secondly, Adab with Neighbours

• We have to be considerate with our neighbours such as taking care of our behaviour and respecting the neighbours by not doing something that could interrupt their resting time.

• We have to be respectful and careful not to hurt their feelings and make them feel uncomfortable. By now, that will disturb the relationship with our neighbours.

Thirdly, Adab with Friends

• As friends, we have to be happy towards our friends's achievements whether in form of academically or in any kind of form.

• From what they have presented in Usrah, they were talking about talking behind a friend's back and not being happy with their achievement.

• We have to be respectful towards friends and not perform any kind of act that's not represented as a friend such as back talking, being unsupportive and backstabbing.
