         <title>Personalized Overview</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>My chosen industry would be transportation. I have a huge interest in cars already and have seen all these self driving cars on the street and always did wonder how they worked and if they worked well. I always did want to get like a self driving car when I would be tired and didn't want to drive so the car would drive for me, but I'm not too keen on getting an electric vehicle yet. I have my car fully paid off and still working so I don't see myself getting a new car until for a couple of years minimum. In my padlet I'm going to be covering autonomous vehicles such as Waymo and Tesla. Waymo have fully self driving cars where it's an uber without a driver, so people can be less worried about their driver and it keeps costs down. UPS where they use AI to optimize their routes and save on gas and mileage. There's also AI in traffic management to predict traffic which allows people like me to get to my destination faster going around all the traffic.</p>]]></description>

         <title>Transportation - AI in self driving cars</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>So AI in self driving cars basically makes or breaks the car. The AI is used for sensing, decision making, and to predict whats going to happen. This would help them to detect objects, plan routes and see any obstacles up ahead and go around them. "Successful self-driving vehicles exist on the road today, however the success of many of these early vehicles is the result of repeatedly driving the same route consistently over many days, where they learn every detail of the route and generate high-resolution maps that are then used as a key part of the self-navigation system" (Micron Tech). So the self driving cars would be learning all the routes that it would be doing and be doing the same thing over and over on the same routes. The automated systems should provide ample warning about speed limit changes, stop signs, and other changes in road conditions. "However, if the automated systems malfunction, they may not recognize road signs or alert you if you’re drifting from your lane. Relying on these systems can cause an accident if you don’t notice a problem until it’s too late" (Kutner). So self driving cars can make mistakes too which would be devastating to the people inside of the vehicle especially if they aren't paying attention. I would personaly wait until the self driving industry starts booming with it being more safe than being in a normal car.          <description><![CDATA[<p>So UPS is now using AI to make their driver routes more optimized. AI would choose the route that would have the least amount of miles and gas no matter what kind of routes it would have to do.  "UPS introduced its proprietary AI-driven tool, ORION (On-Road Integrated Optimization and Navigation), to revolutionize its route-planning process" (DigitalDefynd). So Orion is what the Ai they used is called to optimize its routes and with millions of packages that are being shipped through UPS Ai would be necessary to get everyone package on time. "With an astute analysis of various factors like traffic patterns and weather conditions, UPS proactively reroutes parcels to avert delays, thereby upholding the punctuality of its delivery promise" (Tatidil). So their Ai is constantly changing the route till it finds the one that is most optimizied. Honestly I would much rather that they be using Ai because I need my packages on time or even early. I hate when my packages get hella late and when they are even delayed is annoying. </p>]]></description>

         <title>Transportation  - AI in traffic management</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>So AI in traffic management was something that I was not expecting. Who would've thought that there's multiple ways for me to get to my destination faster. They would do traffic managing using such things as the traffic lights to make traffic go faster which would allow me to get faster to my destination. "Traditional traffic lights operate on fixed schedules, often leading to unnecessary delays. AI-powered traffic lights, however, adapt in real-time to the volume of traffic, optimizing signal timings to reduce congestion and improve traffic flow" (Ipswich). Optimizing traffic signals is really important. I work overnight and when there's no cars I don't wanna wait, but all the new traffic lights seem to have sensors to detect when there's a car there so i basically never wait at night because I'm the only car on the road. </p>]]></description>

         <title>Future Trends and Ethical Considerations </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>So I actually would rather have Ai in transportation as a whole regarding it ethically wise and future trends. 100 percent in the future all of transportation will be taken over AI. All of the self driving cars will be mainstream with AI being behind it all. I already love the fact that UPS is optimizing their routes with AI making my package come faster so I don't got to wait as long for my package to come in. Ethically I do think its fine as people still do get jobs trying to develop those technologies and fine tune it for each use. For the self driving cars you would need thousands of people to make sure each and every component is working correctly. For the UPS you still need drivers as nothing has changed there and if anything their job has become easier as they get more optimized routes.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Society would love to have all this technology in their everyday lives and would honestly would opt in instead of opting out.  They would love not having to drive to get to their destination and wouldn't have to stress about driving.  Employment wise they wouldn't really have their jobs affect but in fact there would be more jobs for people to have as there would have to be specialists in order to have all the technology working correctly. The only huge impact I can see is with self driving cars companies are going to put a huge price tag on it so that only rich or wealthy people can afford it. I already know Tesla does something like that where it's software locked and it costs 10 grand to unlock it and then you would have to eligible as it checks your driving skills and if its too low it would kick you out.  </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>So my research process was I would search up my main topic and scroll through articles and see what I wanted to use.  Some challenges I faced were that some of these articles would just start talking about my topic and then start going off into some other irrelevant topic. Other than that It wasn't really challenging and I honestly quite enjoyed researching for a topic that is kind of interesting being a car guy and everything. I belive that Ai will be taking over this field in the near future and that it is for the better as everyone will be winning.</p>]]></description>
