The Dominican Republic is in a tropical Savannah climate. This helps the country because they can grow things like rice, pulses, corn, and they are able to keep cattle and produce milk and other dairy products. This is helpful to the Dominican Republic because they are able to trade those thing for money and that helps the economy which then will let people in the country have more accesses to food and utility's.

The drawbacks are that it is always hot and right next to the sea there are lots and lots of hurricanes which damage houses, stores, airports, and businesses. If these things are blocked from people then they could starve, lose water, and lose electricity for many days which then lets everything go bad. Droughts are also a problem because then people have to limit the water usage even though people mostly use water for foods and cleaning.

In the Dominican Republic a natural resource is gold, and bauxite. These are helpful because they can sell it for money which then allows them to buy and import foods and clothes for the citizens to eat and get important necessities. This money will open up more jobs for people to then have more to buy from these things. This could be a drawback because if they dig for gold and bauxite too much then they could use it all up and then they could lose all the exports which leads to less money then they can't bring in clothes, food, and make more jobs for people.

The Dominican Republic has many airports due to most of the flat land and not many high hills or mountains. They also have many sea ports due to the fact it is an island. The Dominican Republic trade Medical Instruments ($1.72B), Gold ($1.46B), Rolled Tobacco ($1.11B), Low-voltage Protection Equipment ($949M), and Ferroalloys ($575M) to the country's United States ($6.85B), Switzerland ($1.08B), Haiti ($1.02B), China ($400M), and India ($390M). These are beneficial to the Dominican Republic because they get money for raising more jobs and bringing in more resources for citizens. This could be a drawback because when they import cars, and technology they would lose money because to import things you have to pay or give them something so it would be expensive.

The Cordillera Central Mountain Range is an important landform for the Dominican Republic due to the fact it is a natural barrier. To live in a country with a mountain range it would feel more safe then in a country without one beaus if a country is trying to invade they cant get through but if the country did not have a mountain it would feel less safe. This affects trades, food, and water because they are blocked by the mountains for example if they try to trade they would need to go around all the mountains just to get the trades out.

The aspects of the Dominican Republic have changed the way people live there. The location helps because since it is around the equator it helps the climate to be tropical so they can grow tropical things like coffee and bananas. Natural resources like gold and bauxite help the economy because they get to trade those resources with that many seaports due to the fact it is an island. With the Cordillera Central Mountain Range it protects the island from other countries trying to invade it. The Dominican Republic is very lucky to be in the Caribbean because if it was not then it would not have all the resources, landform, and movement it has now.
