My goals in Math this term are to aim for grades of A or B+, avoid failing any long tests, and make sure I learn something valuable in every class session.

M – Measurable

To track my first two goals, I’ll regularly update my E-PRF to monitor my performance and see if I need to make up for any low scores. For the third goal, I’ll review my notes after class and check if I can answer the homework confidently. If I can, it means I understood the lesson well.

A – Attainable

These goals won’t be easy, but they’re achievable if I stay consistent and put in the effort. My biggest obstacle is my own laziness and tendency to procrastinate, but I’ve seen how much I can achieve when I do put in the work. I’ll start by making a review schedule, budgeting my time wisely. For example, I’ll set aside an hour to go over notes, and use my previous quizzes as reviewers when studying for long tests to avoid repeating past mistakes.

R – Relevant

These goals matter to me because I want to do well on my first quarter report card in Grade 10, which is crucial for senior high school applications. It’s not that I’ll only be putting in effort this term, it’s just that I’m especially motivated to push myself harder now because of how important this period is.

T – Time-Bound

To reach my goals, I need to manage my time well. If I don’t, I’ll risk either missing deadlines for homework or not having enough time to study for assessments. Finding that balance is key to staying on track.

Looking back at my SMART goal, I’m not so confident that I’m on track to achieving my target of getting a B+ or even an A in Math, but I'm hopeful that after exams I'll at least secure a B. Most of my outputs so far have received mediocre marks, and because of that, I’ve committed to improving in the upcoming exam to achieve at least a B.

M – Measurable

I believe I’ve successfully met the measurable aspect of my goal. Throughout the term, I consistently kept track of my grades through the E-PRF, which helped me stay aware of my progress and know when I needed to improve.

A – Attainable

In terms of attainability, I would say my goal is close to being fully achieved. I’ve been diligent in reviewing for upcoming tests, which has helped me understand the lessons more clearly and confidently answer assessments without feeling lost.

R – Relevant

I’ve accomplished this part of the goal, as my performance in Math so far reflects how important this subject is to me. I’ve earned passing and high scores not only in long tests but also in quizzes and homework, all of which have a strong impact on my final grade.

T – Time-Bound

This goal is not fully completed yet, as the term hasn’t ended. However, we are very close, and the final step is to do well on the Math exam. I’m determined to finish strong and reach the standard I set for myself at the beginning of the term.

I did my best with my group, and we had to think carefully about risk and also calculate the probability of us winning vs losing. We had fun debating whether to keep going or pull out, and even though we didn’t win overall, the experience taught me a lot. It wasn’t just about numbers, it was about learning how to communicate, strategize, and make decisions together.

In the end, what made Dragon's Gold stand out for me and why it was the most notable and most fun collaborative work for me wasn’t just the thrill of the game, but the way it brought us together. It reminded me that collaboration isn’t always about getting the highest score, it’s about showing up for your team, trusting one another, and enjoying the process, win or lose. The energy, the laughter, and the sense of togetherness we felt made it an experience I’ll genuinely remember.
