Change in state of matter if melting:
If frozen yogurt gets too hot, it will undergo a change in state of matter from a solid to a liquid. The process is called melting.  This change is due to an increase in temperature, which causes the frozen yogurt to absorb heat and kinetic energy. As the heat energy is transferred to the frozen yogurt, the temperature rises and the particles vibrate more rapidly, eventually reaching a point where the solid structure of the yogurt breaks down and melts into a liquid form. This change in state occurs because the heat energy overcomes the forces holding the molecules together in a solid state, allowing them to move more freely and take on a liquid-like behaviour.

-The machine consists of a hopper for holding the mix, a freezing cylinder for churning the mix and a dispenser for serving the final product. The mix is made of milk, cream, sugar and flavourings for the interstellar sorbet, are churned in the freezing cylinder until it reaches a creamy and thick consistency.

-When kept at a cold temperature, the particles of a solid stay in place as they are not capable of gaining any kinetic/thermal energy that they require to break attractions and melt. Therefore, the solid stays frozen.
