Guidelines:

Your assignment for Reservation Dogs is a character profile padlet. You’re going to focus on one character from the series and record the following:

• Names (including any nicknames); include a photo.

• Backstories. Think of this as the things you learn about the character that aren’t revealed in the action of the show. For example, In Rez Ball we learn that Nataani’s mother and sister died in a drunk driving accident. In “Man Babies” we learn that Baby’s father was abusive. 

• Personality traits: Think about the qualities that best describe the characters. Be sure to include examples from the series that support these traits. For example, Karen is overprotective because she had to save Baby from an abusive father.

• Challenges/Conflicts: The challenges and conflicts characters face forward their development and make their stories interesting. For example, Jimmy had to overcome the death of his best friend, he also had to learn to trust his teammates. 

• Coming of Age elements: Examples of the character showing resilience, self-discovery, identity formation, and societal challenges.

• Big Ideas: Examples of the character experiencing or exploring: 

  • Friendships

  • Role models

  • Elders/knowledge keepers

  • The dream of escaping 

  • Colonial powers still at play

  • Reconnecting 

  • Identity

  • Alienation

Post Criteria:

Your posts should be detailed and descriptive, and include:

• The episode name and number

• The setting of the scene

• The characters involved

• A description of how that scene supports the padlet component 
  

There is no set number of posts required, but your padlet should develop a rich profile of the characters.
