Homelessness is when you don't have any money to afford an actual house, so you sleep in a tent, or a car, or whatever you can because you don't have much. All around America there are people who don't have any money to afford a home with. What most often happens is that people lose their job to things that may be out of their control. In modern times, it is very hard to find a well paying job, especially if you didn't go to college. And if you do end up losing that one opportunity at income, you may have no way to pay for your house since you can barely afford your food. Now, hundreds of thousands of Americans are trapped in the endless hole that is homelessness.

"Another cold winter tonight for Mr. Harris it seems," I said huddled in my tent, cramped and alone. I shiver under my tarp but eventually... I fall asleep. Then, I dream about what I would buy if I had a job. When I wake, I have a bright idea. Usually I just beg for money but I hate doing that and it rarely works. What if I could give people entertainment for cash? My residence of Hollywood, California is well known for its relevance in the movie industry so what if I dress up as a movie character? I immediately think of Two-Face from the Batman movies. So I head down to the mall and purchase a suit and some makeup with the cash I get from Social Security. Afterwards, I head to the street outside of my tent and start reciting some lines that he would say. Nobody even came to listen.

Lots of people work in office buildings with lots of people for low paying jobs. Something that can happen with these big corporations is big shutdowns of entire branches and the loss of hundreds of people's jobs. This can result in people not being able to pay rent and so they become homeless. There are other problems as well. Lot's of people get into accidents where they receive an injury that needs medical treatment. If this injury is serious it might cost a lot of money. Some people don't have this kind of money which causes them to give up their house and spend their money on repaying their hospital debt. Something that has been well documented is that when people are living on the street the effect is that they feel invisible, like no one can see them, ignoring them even, when all they want is for someone to just even say hi. The reasons and outcomes of being homeless is truly saddening.
