          This is my first year at Piney Branch Elementary School, and my first year as a teacher! I can’t wait to learn more about your child and have a wonderful year full of academic growth and fun.
          This website will mostly be used to keep parents up-to-date with what is going on in the classroom, reminders, and helpful resources.

          Once again, I am Susan Volinski!  I am 22 years old, and I will be your child's fifth grade reading and social studies teacher for the 2016-2017 school year! This is my first year teaching at Piney Branch Elementary School, and I am excited to get to know every one of you and make our year together fantastic!

My Childhood: 
          I grew up... everywhere! I moved to the USA from Moldova when I was four years old to the beautiful city of San Francisco. Soon following, I moved to another central Cal town called Monterey, and by 10 years old I was living in Hawaii. Finally, I moved to Howard County, MD, which is where I continue to reside today. I graduated from Wilde Lake High School in HoCo, MD in 2011.

My Education:
           In May of 2016, I graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a dual degree in Elementary Education and Chinese. Go Terps!
