important leader characteristic include drive, leadership, motivation, integrity, and knowledge of the business. perhaps the most important skill is the ability to perceive the situation accurately and then change behavior accordingly.

The reason for this is because they are similar in some ways. Both leadership styles inspire followers to give their very best efforts when working toward the goals that are set. Both types bring energy and excitement to their groups.

Working through this process systematically will reduce the likelihood of overlooking important factors. Our seven-step approach takes this into account:

1. Create a constructive environment.
2. Investigate the situation in detail.
3. Generate good alternatives.
4. Explore your options.
5. Select the best solution.
6. Evaluate your plan.
7. Communicate your decision, and take action.

Decision making is the thought process of selecting a logical choice from the available options.

In order to make a good decision, a person must weight the positives and negatives of each option, and consider all the alternatives. For effective decision making, a person must be able to forecast the outcome of each option as well, and based on all these items, determine which option is the best for that particular situation.

There are four of them:

1) What kinds of crises could your company face?

2) Can your company detect a crisis in its early stages?

3) How will it manage a crisis if one occurs?

4) How can it benefit from a crisis after it has passed?

1) Risk - Exist when the probability of success is less than 100 percent and losses may occur.

2) Uncertainty - Exist when decision makes have insufficient information to know the consequences of different actions.

3) Lack of structure - Consist of programmed decision and non programmed decision.

4) Conflict - Opposing pressures from different sources, occurring on the level of psychological conflict or of conflict between individuals or groups.
