Examples of practice that connect to the theme of taste include: curating your music (playlists, music streaming services), fanbases, music identity (fashion, hair, makeup), etc. Examples of practice that connect to the theme of authenticity include: singing live, writing/producing your own music, listening to all your favourite artists work, going to see your favourite artist in concert, etc.

I find the theme of music taste engaging because music taste is a complex and individualistic thing that can be influenced by a lot of factors and help to form someones identity. And taste itself can be argued to be subjective.  Also, I find the theme of authenticity engaging because it is something both artists and fans simultaneously try to prove that they are.
