Besides, the students in this group help me focus on understanding foreign accents, which had been hard for me to understand correctly.  It has been interesting to be able to learn about the expression of different cultures under the same scenario. I notice that I can understand better middle east accents than a year ago, which is especially useful to me. According to the results of my assessments, I still have several areas to improve; however, I am above the average in some others. Practically I did enjoy all activities, in class, at ESL Library Kahoot, etc. Verna is a great instructor. Thank you to all my classmates who make this class more enjoyable with their questions and participation. Particularly the classmate that help me a lot with his question, Luis.  Your questions lead to more teacher explanations, and that was particularly useful. Thank you! that allows me to learn more. Verna, you keep doing your job. You are good at it. If something, I would like to have more group activities to develop better peer relationships. I would like you to delegate some readings to students to practice more under your supervision, which will help us improve and learn from our particular accents.  As an ESL Instructor student, it has been beneficial to be aware of it.  I feel that what I bee teaching in this class is helping me to improve my grades on that, and it feels great! Based on my experience at the team project, I would say that since we are a very diverse group before to team up for a given assignment. It might be necessary that the whole group learns about the basic etiquette to be part of a team in Canada. In my opinion, that would improve the outcome.

Thank you Verna for teaching us English, for being a great mentor and friend. I never felt stressed studying in your class; on the contrary, it had always been refreshing and enjoyable whenever I saw your beautiful face on Zoom. During the past couple of months, I had learned a lot from you, not only the language, but also your elegant manners and your politeness. 

I also felt grateful for your efforts on those videos you recorded and the interesting stories you told. I was so touched when you talked about Indigenous Peoples, the way you treat them shows that you have a kind heart.

It is never easy to say good-bye, but every story has to have an end. I wish you all the best for the future. God bless you and your loved ones! 🙏

There were too many things I learned during the semester. Pronunciation tips like “The terrible T” helped me to understand native speakers better, which trigger my curiosity of exploring more pronunciation tips after class. The readings and presentations about indigenous, combined with current shocking news about residential schools, let me comprehend why they are in the current situation and arouse my interest of learning more about their stories. Personally, I like the challenging and time-consuming team works. From my partners I learned not only how wonderful they are but also their thoughts and insights. They have inspired me to work harder to not fall behind in class. Thanks 😊my past project partners: Grace, Jonathan and Tori. 

Moreover, I want to thank you my dear teacher, Verna. I appreciate not only your teaching and correction, but also your understanding and help by allowing me a period of absence. I love your smile and your enthusiasm for teaching, and I believe you will achieve what you are pursuing.

This semester seemed like too short for me. With Verna and all my classmantes, I really enjoyed  all the topics, games (Kahoot), new technologies (Canvus, Padlet), group discussions and activities in class, and all the group teamworks after class. I learned plenty of new things in work place and Canadian cuture. It was quite helpful and enjoyable to me. I hope I could learn more from your folks again.

Thank you Verna for teaching and encouraging us. And thank you all my classmates for sharing your procative attitdue and lots of new knowledge, of course your excellent English skills. I appreciated all things I learned in the class.
