Percival and Marylou
Algeria
Algeria has a major focus on religion and conformity to the rules of religion, so there's a great oppression on society to obey the religious rules. Political turmoil caused by the president stepping down and a new government stepping in caused extreme civil unrest. Algerians are still upset and there are still many religious constraints.
The final question should really be "what should the government have done differently." Most of the unrest was caused by rejection regarding the presidential election results, so if the results were different, perhaps protests would have been lessened.

Now the protests have turned from taxes to anti government protests.
Was it resolved? How?
The prime minister of Lebanon stepped down because of the protests, which quenched the protester's thirst for government limitation.
The aftermath:
Lebanon is now in a state of financial ruin, and currently is losing businesses due to the protests.
What could have been done differently:
Lebanon's government should not have "bit off more than they could chew" by not proposing a stupid tax plan, and even lowering taxes. It was foolish to believe their people would not be enraged by more and more taxes in their day to day lives.

1. The cause of these protests in France were due to the high prices on gas and diesel. some of the outcomes to this protest were very violent

2. The way that these protesters resolved things and came to ends with the government was by discussing and talking about how to solve this problem

3 Our opinions on how we would've handled it better:

Taylor: For the protestors, there were a few times when they were more violent than necessary.

Sean: I think that the protesters acted very childish. If they had just talked and made an agreement then things wouldn't have escalated. I also think that the government shouldn't be raising the taxes on gas, it just makes people mad when you raise taxes on a specific thing.

Sadie: I think the protesters were more violent than they should have been.

1.What is the issue?

Venezuela's leadership was compromised by other Latin American countries like Ecuador and Nicaragua because of the citizens' choice vs. the world leaders' choice in who should lead. It was a debate between Maduro and Guiado because Maduro believed was supposed to lead again as president for his sixth term, but Guiado thought he should be the president on constitutional grounds.

2. Was it resolved? How was it resolved?

Yes, it was resolved by mass protests being shut down by Nicaraguan and Ecuadorian governments and police.

3. What would you have done differently?

We decided it would have been best if the governments had reacted differently to the violent protests. They could have listened to what the protesters had to say instead of shutting them down so quickly, so they wouldn't have felt the need to be so violent in the first place.
