Kimono きもの

Junko Sensei has shown us the correct way to wear a kimono. Although we didn't have 'real' kimonos we used we had lots of fun with these simple versions. Tying the 'obi' (waist sash) was the most interesting part... they are very complicated!

There are many ways to tie n obi (waist sash) when wearing a kimono. Junko showed us this way (below). This style is very popular.

Obento is Japanese food in a lunch box. Last year our ELC students all made Obento in class. It was a very yummy lesson! Try making obento yourself and bring it to school to show your friends.
