As the Managing Director and senior consultant at Magellan Associates, he works with companies to analyze their situations and develop strategies to identify, confront, and overcome their challenges. What Shawn Broz brings to the consulting relationship is a focus on operational excellence, organizational change management, transition / transformation, continuous improvement, and Lean Six Sigma focus – with a proven background in executive functions, business and IT management, operational performance, business process improvement, and program, project, and product management in technology, telecommunications, gaming and hospitality. Armed with a double-major bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame and master’s degree from Yale University, Shawn Broz joined the US government, where his primary responsibilities involved creating and nurturing relationships with major technology contractors. He moved to private industry in 2007, when he accepted a consultancy with the Kelley Broadband Group, a start-up telecommunication and cable entertainment provider which offered him the position of Chief Executive Officer in the first year. As head of Kelley Broadband, Shawn Broz immediately came up with a plan to increase the company’s revenues and profits; by the end of his first full year of leadership, the company’s revenues had doubled, with a similarly dramatic increase in profits. Broz also led the company’s acquisition by Mohave Cooperative Services (MCS Communications); once it was concluded, he led both companies at the operational and executive level. During his five years at the helm, company profits experienced double digit annual growth rates. Shawn Broz partnered with consulting firm, G.H.I. Solutions in 2012, serving the Gaming & Hospitality industry as a Strategy and Technology partner focused on executing strategic and technology services. In 2013 Broz joined Caesars Entertainment where he served as Director of the Integrated Marketing Products group portfolio and managed the product lifecycle for enterprise-wide applications within Marketing, Hospitality, Analytics, and Finance and Budget, by providing technology and business subject matter expertise for the implementation of key projects in support of business and application roadmaps. In 2017 Broz implemented a new Plan-Build-Run organizational model at Caesars Enterprise Services by leading a new Technology Assurance group focused on performing all operations and providing support to keep the enterprise technology environment operating and meeting service-level expectations for the business. Shawn Broz maintains and upgrades his skill sets by participating in executive education programs, and has earned a Master Certificate in Six Sigma, Information Technology, and another in Information Systems / Information Technology (IS/IT) Project Management from Villanova University. He has also earned Executive Certificates in Business Administration, Leadership and Management, and Negotiation from Notre Dame. Broz belongs to the Project Management Institute, the American Society of Quality, the Scrum Alliance, the Information Systems Security Association, and Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals.
