The 2 main/ most important subjects that Kenya focuses on are math and science. Kenya has several colleges and technical schools, which means there is a lot of technology taught. In Kenya they also teach Swahili. Kenyan schools enjoy their teaching materials like blackboards, furniture, (desks) pens, and paper though they run short on textbooks. Up to 3 students share 1 textbook. Overall, Kenya doesn't have the best schools, but children are still able to get an education.

Kids are taught many different things and ways in school. Only 85% of children in primary age attend school, because of the lack of necessities. " The Daily Nation article on January 18 reported that "Kenya National Examinations council found that most grade 3 students cannot read English"...
Not only does Kenya have public schools, but they also have Harambee schools. Also since people don't pay fees anymore, children don't have many schools supplies and don't have many teachers because they can't pay teachers very much. That's how kids in Kenya get education from the lack of necessities.

The Frog King is a story about frogs who are at a pond living their happy life. They sing, dance and make lots of noise. When they realize, that they are disturbing other animals, they go to god, Mmumi, to get a king. When they go to the god, and awaken him, Mmumi says the will give them a king. That night, a big object is dropped to the frogs. They worship the "king." The frogs realized that the "king" is just a rock. They went back to the the god and asked for a new king. The god did. That night, the frogs heard sounds in the water. There New king was a scary, beaded eye creature. They were so scared, that they don't croak, sing, or jump around everywhere. They respect their king and every animal in the land.

We think the lesson in the book is to respect others. Like, in the story, in the end, the frogs learned that if there are people around to be quiet, and respect others personal space. Just in the real world, if you respect people, people will respect you.
