Think of a specific scent — maybe the smell of a holiday dish, a family member's perfume, or the outdoors after a storm. How does this scent connect to a memory? Describe the memory in detail and explain how the scent triggers the emotions related to that moment.

The scent that triggers a memory for me is the smell of fresh cut grass. I connect this scent to an open field for me to take on and be alone with a soccer ball. I can remember constantly training, working on my game on nice grass that had this specific smell. This scent always brings me back to the time previously when I've trained, motivating me to go outside with just the ball. Some emotions this scent triggers is a sense of peacefulness and relaxation, as I can disconnect with the world and focus on the ball.

My specific scent is my dad cologne. He has worn the same brand, same bottle of cologne my entire life any iw would never forget what it smells like. I almost completely associate that smell to him. This reminds me of when I was little and he would put on that cologne wherever we went together. By smelling that scent I can think back to all the great times we shared together.

I visited in May during mothers day, where I bought my mom that specific oil from a pharmacy.

One scent that I find incredibly nostalgic is the scent of my aunt. It's not something I can really explain, but it's like eucalyptus and other floral hints. Whenever I smell it, whether it be a lotion or a candle, I immediately think of my aunt and the house she used to live in that smelt just like her. I'm not quite sure how she smells like she does, but it's always the same scent every time, and it's a comfort of mine.

This scent connects to a memory I have because when I was younger probably around 8, I remember always begging my parents to take me to Lowe's, not because I had much of an interest in what they sold but because I loved walking around the aisles while smelling such a distinct smell that brought me joy and comfort and a sense of curiosity on how they get this smell.

This was my "yearly scent" for 7th grade and although it was 2 years ago, when I spray it I get vivid memories of certain people and moments. It brings up both good and bad emotions and after reading the passage I understand why I felt the way I did. For me 7th grade was a very controversial year and the first difficult one so although its not all positive feelings, it is nice to experience it every once in awhile.

Around Thanksgiving every year we would go to my aunts house after our meal and their long table was filled with pies, ice cream and pumpkin rolls. It was a rainy day but I still wanted to go biking with my mom. She went with me on the bike trail we always go on, the path was covered in puddles and mud. I had gotten a new bell for my bike and low and behold before me was a puddle, so I ring the bell to tell my mom who was behind me. But 9 year old me wasn't the smartest so I ended up going through the puddle one handed and fell sideways with my arm I used to ring the bell sprawled out across the path. My mom ended up running over my wrist with nowhere else to go, and I got rushed to the ER where I had to get stitches. Now whenever I smell rain I think of the time I got stitches.
