The question, "What if robots replaced our friends?" does not sit well with me, but Robbie gave me a different perspective. Gloria loves Robbie. her robot best friend, and it seems Robbie loves her just as much. The parent's concern was that she didn't have any "real" friends, and she wasn't living the life of a normal little girl, but Gloria shows that there can be little to no difference. However, she might grow up (and we can relate this to real life too, if this were to happen) to have a significant bias over robot friends vs human friends.
