He later finds out that his "personal legend" is to find this treasure the gypsy has told him what his dream was telling him. Also, since Santiago is Spanish, this reveals the cultural acceptance of the life in Andalusia as we see both the man and gypsy talk and benefit from each other. This shows the harmony and peace of Andalusia.

After a while, he finally made it tot he Egyptian pyramids. After arriving and looking, he realized this was not where his treasure was located. He made a journey back to the sycamore tree he first experienced his dream under. Once he started digging, he discovered the gold he was searching for the whole time.
