Summary (of text):

WWII is the most bloodiest war in all of history. On September 1st, 1939, the Nazi invaded polish territory on that day, kicking off WWII and the term "Phoney War”. After that, They'd invade Denmark and Norway by using a tactic called Blitzkrieg or in English term for "lightning war". On May 26, 1940, a huge rescue operation called Operation Dynamo, was a massive successful operation to rescue the 338,226 British and French soldiers in Dunkirk, France. On July 10 - October 31, 1940, a major air campaign fought between the Royal Air Force and the German Luftwaffe, preventing Germany from gaining air superiority over Britain. In the early 1941, Italy and Germany attack Yugoslavia by using the same techniques. On June 22, 1941, Operation Barbarossa took place in Soviet Union territory, where the Nazis plan to invade the massive country of the Soviet Union for great power. But failed due to factors like the sheer size and resilience of the Soviet forces, the harsh Russian winter, and the length of the supply lines. On December 7, 1941, a surprise military attack from Japan, attack the natural harbor and the U.S. Navy base in Pearl Harbor. causing the U.S. and Britain to join the second world war. On July 4-7, 1942, the Battle of Midway took place on the Midway Atoll. The US lose the USS Yorktown but won the battle. the same can't be said for Japan as it lost four of its key aircraft carriers, severely weakening its naval power. On November 8, 1942, Operation Torch took places in North Africa, with British and American forces landing in French North Africa, the landings were part of a broader strategy to relieve pressure on the Soviet Union and secure the Mediterranean for Allied shipping. On October 23 - November 4, 1942, the Battle of El Alamein, location in Egypt, was a decisive Allied victory in the North African campaign of World War II. This victory at El Alamein is widely considered a turning point in the North African campaign and, indeed, in the broader context of World War II.

Quotes:

Citation:

Author:

In-Text Citation:

Works Cited: World War II Foundation, Timeline of WWII
