By giving this counter argument, she creates a sense of trust by showing that she can see both sides. Also one thing that is increasing is the cost of rent. The rent cost rising creates issues for low income people and that drives them away from what they used to call home. Although gentrification came with its benefit, like lowering crime rates and bettering school, it still does no good to the residents that have are forced to leave.
