Our school's first purpose is to raise social people. Our school takes 5 years because of preparatory classes. In preparatory classes, students take 20 hours  English lessons every week. These lessons are speaking, writing and grammer. In the end of two period become speaking exams. We call this exam ''Speaking Day'' because it lasts a day and also 6  teachers rate our speaking.
- In 9th grade we have the same lessons like the other students in other  high schools do. And 10th grade we have classes for each  category. The lessons of the students that come to our school are law and psychology. We have lots of activities because there are  lots of students studying in our scool.

Here are some ! :
•Tubitak science festival: 
In the festival many students prepare and show their projects by the help of our teachers. 
 A lot of visitors, including our teachers and students come to see the projects. 
 Usually the festival happens in our sports center because it is the most useful place for it.
•Child festival:
 For 2 years we have been organizing a child festival in the middle of May. We didn't join last year but this year we joined.We prepare this festival for primary students and its really entertaining for them. Because we put funny things in this festival like playdough, face painting scientific experiments,some children games and more.
•19th May festival:
Our school is too big and active like this month we celebrated 19th May youth and sport Festival. It was so good. A student from our school read a poem. Many people came to see the celebration. Also we did traditional dances. When these happen we all get very emotional because of our countrys history. Our city governor read a writing about importance of the day.
•Sports festival:
In our school,we have a lot of sports.We have a volleyball team,a football team,a basketball team,a running team and a tennis team.Our teams are successful.We won prizes from almost all of them.

As you can understand we are organizing many festivals and we are all having fun while we are doing them. And I especially want to add that nearly all these festivals organized by our students

There are girls and boys sections. The dormitory is in our school garden. Mostly our school students, stay in the dormitory.

Someone who stays in dormitory has to wake up 7 am. Also has breakfast. Because according to our teachers, breakfast is important for our school day and success. The students wear their school uniform. And prepare school materials.

In their rooms, they've got everything about their needs. They have got comfortable beds, wardrobes and bookshelves. They have to study regularly about two hours in their course rooms.

They can go out three times a week after school. They can stay out or other places until 7 pm.

Two teachers stay in the dormitory with students every day. 

In the dormitory, there are different traditions. Such as, when a new student come to there, in dormitory's students make unusual jokes. For instance, they distribute toothpaste on a new incoming student's head.

When the school bell ring, in the afternoon, the students eat their lunch in school dormitory. There is a refectory in there. It is big and has white walls. So the students have lunch smoothly. It effects their school success and lessons.

In the evening, somebody who stays in dormitory has dinner at 6 pm. Generally the cooks cook pasta, soup and healthy dishes. So the students like dishes of dormitory. Because the cooks make dishes which one has liked.

●CULTURAL ACHIEVEMENTS

  •Our student had achievement about chess tourment as first.  

 •We had national prize about Oxford Big Read. One of our students has became 4th in Oxford BigRead competition. A press assistant from Oxford came to our school and gave our award.   

•One of our students had prize about reading poem.   

•Our school had 2nd festival of children.65 students took part in this event.We invited 133 3rd grade students for this project.The volunteer students made lots of food for them.   

•One of our students had prize about 14th story competition as 1st.   

●SPORT ACHIEVEMENT   

•Our Boy Volleyball Team won a cup from volleyball tourment.We had very exciting hours.  

•Our Girls Football Team became 2nd between 15 teams.   

●MUSIC   

•Our Music Group joined 20th High School Music Competition. 

●OUR SCHOOL MAGAZINE

We organise tournaments in lunchtime with one of these. We have sports saloon so we always do this tournaments. First we organise saloon football tournaments and we make lots of teams. We have a girls team on football, they are good at in.
Then we organise other sports tournaments like basketball, tennis, volleyball. We finished football and started tennis nowadays. I just join volleyball tournaments. It is too exciting. In our school, there are lots of talented sporter for every sports types. Our teachers make a team for every tournaments too. This is amazing thing. We organise these tournaments every year and I think this is good. Students can go there whenever the library is open by the attendant students. We have a system that is made by the library, when a student without their lobrary card tries to get books we won't give any. 

We have many kinds of different books.There are psychology, history, literature, poetry, biography and many national geographic magazines. 

The students also can hamg out there, of course they have to be silent. They sometimes come to study or do group projects. 

As the Social Sciences school, our school values reading very much.

Our school was built in 2002 by Melahat Aksoy who is helpful and devote herself to education. She died in 2006 when she was 103 years old. Which is bad because human like her not come to the world again.

Our school has so many talented and successful students. Last year our students had a amazing success in the university exam. We owe this to our teacher. Because our teachers work as much as we do. Our school has continued their sucsess about AFS, YES intercultural program since 2012-2013 Education year.This year, nine students took part in the exam of this program and all of them got achievement.They kept our sucsess.


Our principle Kemal AKIL wished luck to them for interview appraisal and country selection meeting. In a meeting that was held in our principle Kemal AKIL's room. He gave students a motivational speech. Their consultant teachers that made the students participate in the exam also congratulated Veli İlker Enişte.


Last year one of our students Aleyna Tınaz, who had participated in the AFS intercultural program, and our teacher Veli İlker Enişte have held a conference about what the students should do in the evaluation meeting and interview.
