At the time, I didn’t know too many black guys that were into all of those piercings and shit and the big gothic jeans like that." Jay says,     "I'm the criminal element of Woodlawn." He emphasizes on this by explaining that he was seen as the criminal element of woodlawn and that "you get a certain reputation and kinda sticks with you." The serial also reports, "his friends say Jay has a reputation for lying." This shows Jay isn't reliable at all. Jay was also not really known by a lot of people, so he probably knew that he'd easily be able to get away with this crime if he were the one that killed Hae and framed Adnan.  

]]> 2018-01-16 00:12:13 UTC https://padlet.com/21sxrana/readingproject/wish/221553973 21sxrana https://padlet.com/21sxrana/readingproject/wish/221554046 Mr. S is the man that found Hae's body buried in Leakin Park.  Mr. S doesn't quite receive the attention he deserves to.  It's very possible he's the one that killed Hae.  Not only does Mr. S have a long criminal record, buter he also never accomplished what he originally planned on doing in Leakin park, which was pee.  It is very strange that he so how happened to run across Hae's body while going for a quick pee.  He even admits to going for no good reason when the detective interviewing asks him "Did you go to that area for a certain reason?"  Not only that, but it does appear that Mr. S drinks alcohol quite a lot. From the interview of Mr. S, we know he had a "22-ounce Budweiser," half a pint of "Winsdor Canadian whiskey," and other "cheap stuff." Sarah also says, "Cristina told Adnan’s parents she needed them to bring $10,000 cash to the courthouse to pay for a jury expert." Mr. S, and Jay Wilds are also very considerable suspects.  Jay's inconsistencies prove that he is not a reliable source of evidence.  Jay changes his stories multiple times to make his story more believable and make himself look better while also having a history of lying and having that reputation.  Which should draw suspicion and should make it clear he is a considerable suspect. The phone log also doesn't necessarily prove much. It is quite possible that the matching calls were a coincidence.  It was never considered whether Adnan's timeline were true or not.
